Well, this thread has over 30,000 views, so there's definitely some interest on FTE.

Actually, I don't care what the book costs. I already told my wife I'm getting one. Then, someday, I'm coming to get my free ride in the truck, and autograph in the book.

Keith is now thinking price for the book is going to be a '51 F4.

I never thought when I started this restoration thread it would eventually have over 30K views!! Well, maybe the 1000 copy minimum would work. I guess we'll see when the responses come in. Joe, your copy will be autographed and your ride is already reserved!! You are in the book along with others who commented on the restoration. I have 3 or 4 pages dedicated to the comments placed here on this thread.

James this is my one and only 51 LOL!! I wouldn't dare ask for "Betsy"

Finally got a set of STOP tail lights for the truck on eBay last night. I hope to get a lot of work done this week. The headliner bows are now flat black and need to be intalled along with the driver's interior door panel. We need to get the seats together and the rear bench installed. And of course, my new tail lights when they arrive!! I will get some pics of the work done this week.

A little update. I went out this morning and started installing the wood bows by myself. Its really a two person job because they have to be firmly held in place while they are screwed in. I attached everything but the ends and will get Gerald's help on Friday to finish. I couldn't find any black oxide screws to use so I painted my stainless steel one's. I will need to do some touch-ups. I started putting the seats together and was cleaning and painting small parts. Friday I have a long list of things I want to get accomplished and I will post more pics that day.

Ok Bobby .... here is the list!!! LOL

Finish installing the bows
Install the driver's interior door panel -interior & exterior door handles
Install the new STOP tail lens
Finish putting the seats together and permanently mount the rear bench seat
Temporarily mount the front seats (still need room to finish up the wiring)
Make and install the bracket to hold the radiotelephone
Rewire the radio and install (stripped and painted it today) Red & green indicator lights will be lit up
Install the heater
Run the guide copper tubing for the bell

If we get all this done I will be pretty happy!!

Wow! By the way, I'm sure that you can get the seat tag restored, if you truly want.
