Keith, I just stumbled upon this thread and must say that I am impressed with your talent and steadfast dedication to such a large undertaking! You have truly restored a piece of history, and the City of Chicago should be proud to have her rolling through the streets once again! I am in the teardown phase of my project and will use this thread as inspiration to "forge on" when it seems as if it will never end. I can't wait to see it finished and back in the streets!
Best of luck!

Thanks for your kind comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the tread and good luck on your project. Why don't you start your own build thread? Everybody loves seeing a project from start to finish.
Looking forward to seeing your thread. I see you are a senior user on FTE so I don't have to tell you about all the good advice and encourgement you will receive on your build. Just keep at it and eventually you will be at the finish line like me.
eventually you will be at the finish line like me.
Wait a minute....just hold on now......
What is this finish line thing that you're talking about? is there really a finish line? Dang, I thought we were just supposed to muck about and tinker now and again. I didn't know we were supposed to finish.....LOL
Don't know Joe. She obviously posted in in the wrong thread.
Even so, how did the post disappear. I've wanted to delete posts in the past, but there's no way I can do it. Did she contact a mediator to get it removed?
Gathered my seat bases and drivers seat and dropped them off at the upholsters this morning. He is going to locate the material and once he gets a sample of the material and it meets my approval, he will get the seats done. That will be another huge item checked off the to do list!!
Off topic but I wanted to show my newest Ford ride at work. I don't have my spec book on the truck but I believe its a 2003 F450.Tomorrow I start a new position at the airport. I finally got off the Rescue truck and I am now on the QRV (Quick Response Vehicle) This truck responds to all fire alarm ringings, stuck elevators, aircraft emergencies and last out on medical calls at MIA. This position I have been wanting for the past 13 years and now I finally had enough seniority to get spot. The other pics are of my guys that rode the rescue with me for the past 5 years. They are excellent firefighter/paramedics and I will miss them but I won't miss transporting patients to the hospitals. 25 years of riding the rescue or "the box" as its called is enough. Can you guess who's work screensaver that is?? LOL
