Progress ... hanging sheetmetal!!

We started bleeding the brakes this morning and fluid started coming out of the booster vent tube!! That was the same issue I had before the booster rebuilt. So the booster had to come out again and I brought it right back to the rebuilder. He said he would make it right and there must be some issue with the check valve. I tell you these brakes have been a nightmare from day one. My bleeders were rusted and out of shape so I picked up 6 new ones today and will put them in tomorrow.
On a positive note, the front wiring harness is all tightened up and we started building the hood. We installed the air horns and other parts. Tomorrow all the moldings will be put. I will post some pics tomorrow. Oh yea, my speedo cluster came today. Its in real nice shape. That should go in tomorrow too.
As for the brakes, Ya don't want them anyway cuz they just slow ya down.

Thats great that the guy will make it right but it still sucks that you loos another week or so plus all the labor putting the danged thing in and out.
I'll bet there were some colorful words in use. Keep at it, your perserverance will pay off

Something to consider when you get the master cylinder back. The way I bleed these old brake systems with extremely good success is to fill the system backwards. I use an oil squirt can (See Photo), I bought mine at Tractor Supply. I use clear tubing to connect the oil can pump to the bleed screw so I can see no air leaks in while pumping. I start at the wheel farthest from the master cylinder and pump until the fluid that is filling the master cylinder is air free, make sure your oil can does not go empty. Close the bleed valve and go to the next farthest away from the master. You will have remove fluid from the master a couple times to prevent over flow, I use an old Turkey Baster (don't tell my wife, her's is missing...smiles). Do not reuse this fluid, dispose of it. You do this procedure until all 4 wheels are done. I have done this on numerous older vehicles and it works every time. You can also do this by yourself, if getting help is an issue.
This is also a good way to replace the brake fluid in an old vehicle as well, it flushes the entire system. HTH
Walston - I like your idea!!
Yes Bobby there were plenty colorful words used

Got some work done this morning. The hood is all put together except for a rubber gasket. Does anyone know that order the hood rubber bumpers go on? There are 3 for each side and they go from large to small. From the shape of the hood it appears the small ones start at the back of the hood. The hood looks good with the shiny moldings on!! I want to thank firstrider (Denny) for sending me some of extra molding clips so I could put on the trim pieces!!
We also put the tail light back on without the STOP lens for now. The rear grab rails were installed. We disassembled the speedo, cleaned the glass and new bezel I received yesterday and put it back together. At least some progress. I hope to have the hood installed next week after the engine compartment gets a bath. Here are some pics:
