Santa bring you any parts? I know he had some on him as I got door window regulators and a door lock kit.

Happy New years to you too Snook and all FTE. 2012 is going to be good year to get moving on our trucks. I finally got my engine brackets welded in. Now I need more time to finish the frame and push on.

Thank you SVT! Wow this 2012 has not been what I expected. I'm at a stand still on the truck. I need to find a thread on how to rebuild a 429. Any suggestions gentlemen? It looks like the only way I'm going to get this project running is to up my knowledge all around.

It's easy -- take it in to Albuq Machine Services, ask for Doug. You'll never regret it.

Its more about the cost factor not the workmanship. I'm trying to get everything back in line because I have too much time and money to not finish!

I can add a 3rd to that recommendation. When i was living in Albuquerque, built a stroker FE and a pumped up 390FE engine for a buddy i worked with. They did all the machine work on both and were also a wealth of info and not afraid to share it.

If these other guys are still around....(10+ years ago)
Dave (i think that was his name!?) at Hi-Purr engines did a some work for me too. He knows a few Ford tips-n-tricks too, although I think he dabbled more in the Chevy and Mopar worlds. I used him to build a 350 Chev for another buddy's '67 Camaro and a Ford 400M for yet another fella. The 400M was kinda unique as he used 351C pistons in it to bump up the compression. He was a pretty crafty guy.

Todd Budlong (Budlong Motorsports) Although I've never used him, another buddy from the base moonlighted for him as a side job. Had lots of good things to say about him and his work. I spent a few nights in his shop, and at the time he had a nice setup. Todd's definitely weighted tward the Chevy racing world and dirt/oval cars.
