I wish it me doing all the suspension and fab work but it is totally my builder Joe Martinez. He is awesome! I'm just the guy writing the check and running the parts. I will how ever do the rest of the finish sanding, prepping, and painting of the frame on my own. I'm having the hardest *&^(*%$ time locating some new cab mounts. My truck has been through some stress in the past and 3 have actually cracked the frame. So next up is pulling the cab and letting Joe do the firewall as I sand and paint the frame. I do however want him to fix all the cracks, weld up all non essential holes, and box the entire frame so I can paint it. I want to be 100% done with the frame before build up. Looks like no body work for a while. Good thing I love her patina!!! (pockets are starting to hang outward with lint falling out )
Sounds like you got a good plan Snook, right now is the time to try and fix anything that don't look right or you don't like. Have yo figured out how you are going to do the fabrication for the drivers side motor mount?
Where are some good resources on bodywork? Lol my truck is balding. Stupid presidents day. I'm stuck at work when i could be working on my truck like most other Americans with the Holiday off.
Thank you FordMan75. I finally got word that my A-Arms and Brackets along with my spindals are on the way. Good thing since I took my guy the 426/C6 yesterday. Oh and I got a present from my uncle... It's shiny and everyman should have one.
Looks great...Feels like Christmas when you get all those packages on your doorstep. Arrowheadfred is right....drop spindles will put your truck to the ground. I have a MII IFS and it too lowered my truck right where I like it. The drop spindles would have only gave me a few inches from the pavement. Good job and keep the pics coming!
Hey Snook,
In one of those pics there is another vehicle tire in the picture with dual side exhausts & some nice wheels. What's that all about? Just a sneak peek
for us...
I put the No Limit Wide Ride on the front of my 1950 F1 as well -
Looks very nice - I went with no drop as well - but no air bags just coilovers. It's a very solid looking front end - I haven't tackled the steering column yet - What are you planning to use?

The other truck is a lowered chevy that is at my builder's shop. Nice looking truck. I'm using a flaming river column. Pic of my wheel is below. Joints, column drop, and floor mount are on their way. Once we button up the front suspension we should be able to finish the motor mounts, engine, tranny xmember, and tranny. after they are in we will decide on headers. Last the column and new seat.
