Looks good are you going to run wider rear fenders?
No i like the stock rear fenders. I'm planning to run a wider bed and possibly mini tubs later down the road. I think that widened fenders change the look of the truck more than a wider bed. You really have to look to figure out the wider bed.
This is all down the road when i get to paint / bodywork time. I'm honestly just looking foward to driving it in all its current glory.
Just finished the thread, must say with all the ups and downs you have had you kept on pushing. Your set backs have turned in to motivation for me. Thanks for the build thread, I hope you can put those tires on pavement soon.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read it through I know its been a lot, trust me. I'm currently waiting on that bellhousing. 23 days from day i bought it to the when they expect to ship.... HUM!!!!
I guess since I just started a new job I dont have too much time to worry about it. I'm glad its almost driving again. I was really hoping to get it roadworthy by April, the 4 year anniversary from when i deconstructed it.
J.W.Performance Transmissions is manufactured in the USA. IMHO they are not very good at keeping raw materials in stock. Honestly, nearly two months for the bellhousing is a bit excessive. Had to call Summit Racing three times before they agreed to do something to help me. Eventually I was told to wait.
JJ told me he met someone recently but I didn't know it was you. Hopefully he gave you a good deal.
I have two 56 Ford 1/2 tons in pieces. Then I came across a 250 that Im making a flatbed hauler out of with smoke stacks and duallies. Instead of one nice truck, I have three in progress. Im working on them all the time, but never the same one too long. I retired from 43 years on the railroad so Im really enjoying the build part.

I'm already looking for a 56 Cabover to convert to a hauler. I want it to be bagged and a low slung hauler so we'll see how that works out. Do you have pictures anywhere? I'd love to see your projects or if you have a link to a build thread please feel free to shoot it on over.
