Thanks for the well wishing gentlemen. BacaGrizz please PM me the info. I might not respond right away but anything is certainly apprecaited. I'm at a standstill until No Limit sends back the 5x4.5 rotors for the front. Then I'm sure the vacation with my beautiful lil misses is going to put a stop to some truck action for a lil while.
After I come back I'm going to go pick up my other 54 and store her away to try and make a lil money later on down the road. We have a swap meet coming up and it would make sense to pick up another effie and sell her with all my old parts galore to recoupe a lil profit and make a smokin deal to the next guy.
After the vacation I will focus on my rear end, (praying my 3rd member is good) because my pockets are really feeling the pain now. It has 3.73 gears so I can live with those for now.
My new TO DO LIST!
1. Rear end clean up and tear down to find my shudder
2. Axles
3. Rear Disc Conversion
4. Drive Shaft
5. Get motor running
6. Find out if my 99 Tahoe seat is really going to work (still having issues mounting it)
7. Patch Panels
8. Windows
9. Full tear down, tune up, and clean up of 429 including replacing missing parts. (Gotta Love U Pull and Pay!!!)
10. Drive her for the summer and collect some money to finish more in the winter. I'm sure by this time I will be 100% broke.
Thank you. I just got back and I think I want to work on it. Jet lag and homework are stopping me.
This week. Find brackets and missing motor parts along with reinstall the front rotors (changed bolt pattern) and disassemble the rear end. I also need to pick up my left over parts from my builder.
I need a suggestion on a disc brake conversion kit. Mind you I want vented slotted to look cool but also to show well behind my wheels? Anyone know whats the difference in size between a large bearing and small bearing for 9 inch?
Snook, you are smokin on your build it looks great. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to post all the picks, it helps novice builders like myself learn how things are done, and possibly give some one the confidence to try some of it, thanks (JIMMY)

I'm still a novice myself but thank you for the kind words! Jimmy I'm looking forward to a thread by you soon.
Looks good Snook! Are you going to pull the body for paint soon?
Thank you. My budget is shot for now. I'm just looking to put it on the road and drive it for a while until I can save some more. I did however get some "GREAT" news today so hopefully I will have some more money soon. I really wanted to take it to that show this weekend but that's a no go however I'm getting off work early at 1030 to go so if anyone wants to come by and see the progress I'm only a few blocks from Cabezon park.
New list of things to do.
1. Disassemble everything, sand and paint as much as possible to protect it from the elements. Possible box the frame.
2. Get motor started and running. I haven't even fired it (I know sad but sometimes you do what you can)
3. Drive shaft
4. New rear gears, axles, disc conversion, and full grind down/ clean up/ paint.
5. Brackets for my seats
6. Sell the old suspension (front and rear complete less rear end)
7. Reassemble front end and get on road. I know there are a million small odds and ends but mostly I just want to drive her after all the money I've put in its killing me to watch it in the garage.
I have a hard choice to make this week! Do I "A" wait, fully strip the truck and commit to a ground up resto start to finish no stopping or do I "B". Do what I can now to drive it how you see it until I can tear it down again later. I'm starting to see how much work having a show quality car is all about. I'm not even going trailer queen just very good quality street rod.
Agree, definately plan B. Drive it as that is the only way you will get a feel for the truck. it will amaze you on what you discover about the truck and you.
