FYI for all BCB or BC Bronco is a EB company in Texas that specializes in what else, but early Bronco parts. https://bcbroncos.com/
Its a wonder that BC Bronco got to keep the Bronco in their business name....well so far. I have heard or read somewhere that FOMOCO has put the clamp down on THEIR trademark "Bronco" name to be used in/by none Ford Motor Company businesses?
Toms Bronco Parts is now called Toms Offroad Parts. Jeffs Bronco Graveyard is still Broncograveyard. Wildhorses4X4, James Duff or Dufftuff, CJpony parts and Ecklers are still with us too. I wonder how places like Gatewaybronco are keeping the Bronco in their name?
yeah, its all pretty interesting (to us organization, corporation, legal, or bronk junkies) but I sent to show -
BCB may have a different knuckle/spindle (whatever that prt is called) and U have their prt, a different BJ might B required?
I think BCB sales a heavy duty type steering knuckle that is beefier and takes a HD ball joint. I have the ones that they say are not going to fit and a set of stock Moog and stock Spicer.
sorry, I included that (#585) as a miss-read: "...For transparency, I am using the knuckles that came from BC Broncos..." skimming over ur entry "...I am using stock Dana 44...knuckles..." in the proceeding post. The red hightened ur situation in my mind.
No worries, I'm often easily confused at that time of nite ("And I kiss real good too, wanna go somewhere?"). 8^ 0
I am positive my wife kisses way better. LOL So I am going to stick with who I happily married. Thanks for the offer. we can be drinking buddies.... but that is IT. Unless you want to wrench on a Bronco together some time. Lol X2
not U ya ...oh, sahweee. Forgot Im nota good writer. I was mouthin someada late nite "...I'm often easily confused at that time of nite..." confusion round here. What beautiful women have said to me as the night wears on: "And I kiss real good too, wanna get ouda here?"
Thanks for the wrenchin offer. Leavin home 2 C U and the whole fam damly wheelin @ ur fav park in the hot sun (well, not w/all those trees over head - but hot enuff to take a dive into a cold mountain stream seems like onea da best ventures I could take. 'S y I never leave home, aahahahahahaaa
With the new 50,000 BTU propane ceiling hung heater in the shop I like walking in the shop and it is warm ad I can be more motivated. I keep it 45* to 50* to keep stuff from freezing, and bump it up as needed. I am getting ready to pull out the F250 project and out the Bronco in for the ball joint swap. Of course a tech write up and pic will be coming.
So far I have a pile of parts and project to do.
Get my front park lights and the brake lights to work.
Install 4 new upper and lower ball joints.
Then start over and finally finish the install of the new upgraded inner and outer axle shafts from Wildhorse4x4. https://www.wildhorses4x4.com/
(4340 CHROMO AXLES W/CTM JOINTS) https://www.wildhorses4x4.com/produc...e_shafts_front
Install the Bullet Proof Steering Upgrade. Welcome to the Genuine Bullet Proof Steering System Solution!
Kiser Riser to put on front axle to start the process to add the hydro assist steering. The Steering box (top and end) caps are already tapped.
Replace the rear brake wheel cylinder to stop a leaky one.
Break down the bead locks and put the new 35x14.50x15 boggers on them, or I might put the 32 bolt Allied rock-a-thons on them.
Work over the trail repaired frame mounted trac bar drop bracket. fugly.
Ol red need a tune up (plugs and wire) and an oil change.
And now I have a EFI set up off a 86 Mustang GT, HO 302. Got everything, but the computer and the fuel pump. Maybe one day I will have the time to make the conversion.
If so it's in the '85 fox waggy (3.8L) I just bought. Wanna go full spfi - a 20 yr upgrade w/the 4.2 head. No 1 will sell me more than a bare head (need everything - OBDII, fuel rail, injectors, ecm, engine harness, intakes, etc). No Pick'n Pull style yards up here..."Oh, U wanna do a 4.2 motor swap in!" No I don't. I no it will not B as easy as a head swap on my 70s motor (1, 1'n 1/2 days, not 1/2 day) but I dont wanna swing in the whole thing.
The new parts are starting to pile up on the shop shelf, I need to get it in the shop here soon for some repairs/mods/and upgrades. Along with getting the new tires mounted up before the next trip out on the trails.
So I found a early Bronco hard top that was cut down to be a 1/2 cab PLUS. I am test fitting it and figuring out how much more I want to cut off. I need to mod it to work with the current roll cage and the fenderwell tool boxes. I am looking at cutting most of the part past the B pillar part, like a OEM 1/2 cab, like below.
