even the Torqueshift needs built, But compaired to the 4r100 it will hold alot more power before needing built. I can see how easy it would be for V-10 Guys you just need the computers and wiring and it is a Direct swap.

Maintenance is the key to any engines life. Using the proper oil and oil filter, air filters, and fuel filters, as well as antifreeze. Keeping the engines operating at their best will help them last a long time. A 7.3 will go through a couple sets of injectors by 500,000 miles, a turbo or 2, and glow plugs and relays.
Don't know about a V-10 and what all it would need. Other than oil changes, air and fuel filters, and sparkplugs, what else would you likely need to replace by 500,000 miles?

Intake elbow on the throttle body( <$10 ) is rot prone and the COP's would likely need to all be replaced once. They are $45 and there are 10 of them.
I work on Ford trucks, and more specifically 7.3L Powerstrokes, and out in the field or on the road they last longer. If gas engines last as long, and could pull as well, why don't we see them in over the road and big rig trucks?
