I have seen all these because they have been posted probably 4 or so time now in this year long thread. What they dont know is any of these making runs at the track on a dyno or hooked to a sled
I'm glad this has simmered down again, but guys, seriously, you have to take this all with some humor and a grain of salt. People behind their keyboards can get a little, shall we say, mental?
That's quite enough of you and your silly common sense. This is the internet you have to check that at the door.

Did you not hear?....everyone who uses internet forums is at least 6' and 200lbs with some kind of trained fighting experience.
No, they never changed the con rods on the Lightnings. They are strong enough to live through Ford's rather strict durability testing (same as what I listed a hundred or so pages back). The problems come in when the owners started changing pullies out for more boost and then let idiot tuners push them to the ragged edge with FAR too much spark advance. The rods rarely failed on their own-even at high boost levels-it's nearly always a detonation problem hammering them into failure.

I concur. Stock engines should remain stock, and if you want to bolt "things" on them, you have to look at the bigger picture or risk decreasing longevity. I could pump mine up to 500/1000, but it wouldn't make it 100k. Were that to happen, I'd buck up and blame myself instead of Ford.

How many people on FTE have a turbo or supercharger on their V-10? Can someone post up pics of their truck with this? I would like to see pics of the turbo or supercharger to see how they are installed. I don't mean some speed shop project truck, I want to see some members on here's trucks. Thanks.
At least 4 guys on the site have whipple or KB SC on their 6.8l. One guy stopped by the V10 forum a while back to show off his 150 which he stuffed a V10 2V in, custom fabbed an intake and made a turbo setup with a big turbo.
I would use the torqueshift and PCM out of an 05 or newer V10 E-series rather than a built 4r100 or a 6 speed.
They still used the 2V with the much better 5 speed auto, and with the wiring and PCM out of one it could be put in an older 2V truck pretty easy.
The low first gear on the 5 and 6 speed is great, but it just takes to long to shift. They shift slow no matter how you do it.
