A lot of times it's added on automatically, you may have towing and roadside service reimbursement and not even know it!
I know my insurance covers towing. I had to have the Mustang dragged home one time on a flatbed because the radio interference capacitor ended up shorting out on the coil bracket and killing the ignition. Fortunately it happened when I was on the way home to leave for the airport that night for California.
AAA is not your friend or mine. Get towing coverage on your insurance for $12-$20 a year, most allow 3 per year, you get to call the company you choose, no more waiting 3 hours for a tow like AAA. They reimburse you for the charges, and we (the tower) actually get paid more $ than the gas it cost us. AAA typically pays $28 for a tow, so most towers will find a way to bill you for "Extras" not covered by AAA so they can earn a few $ per call. The contracted towers also usually put motor clubs at the lowest priority which means you wait! Ever see the dispatch screen on the show Wrecked? The calls in red are Police or high priority, calls in yellow are customer or cash calls, and calls in white are motor club calls (the lowest priority) Pay less, & get more with your insurance!
this is actually the first year i havnt had AAA in prob 7-8 years. i DID buy better service through my insurance company, because i drive so far from home (where i wrench) i was always afraid of paying for a tow that was more than 100 miles (the AAA coverage i had was free up to 100 miles). i pay more / year, but i have unlimited miles, and unlimited usages.
as for waiting 3 hours for AAA, everytime they asked "am in a safe place", i'd say "no im in the middle of the road". they showed up immediately
as for the tow truckers pay, i always talk to them and they seem very happy to get the work. and, i always give them a tip anyway (if they arent complete douchebags).
Talking about roadside assistance, I do have 3 of them for my cars.
We do have "white towing" in Bay Area that monitors the freeways and bring a gas, or give a short tow for free. Than our 21 Century has roadside assistance for no extra charge. They have limit of $70, what is not much, but I used them twice and was really impressed with the helpful responses. In both instances the office (don't think it was in India since they spoke with no accent) found the appropriate service in the area, called me back within few minutes giving their phone number and before I could finish the talk, the service was already calling me. Than Mercedes offers lifetime roadside assistance

That's because they are usually just drivers. Most owner operators won't touch motor clubs. A lot of the bigger companies do motor clubs as a way to keep drivers working that need to be on shift for police contracts. The driver gets paid from the company, whether or not the company earns dollar one.
The only time I've needed a tow on my three Ford modulars (two 4.6L's and the V10) in the past 15 years has been the '96 T-bird I used to own (and my sister has now).
The original stock Motorcraft battery died in a convenience store parking lot and it was midnight, and a tow truck was running at the gas station next store
Now it is easy to understand what you are saying >>> you are right and those hundreds reporting to GasBuddy are liars.
Have it your way.
That's OK - you'd obviously rather indirectly call ME a liar, a member of FTE for 9 years, than the one guy posting fuel prices on gasbuddy at the gas station down the road from me, who you've never even spoken/typed to.
Well the V10 doesn't run biodiesel so not sure where your going with that.
I do know the new 6.7 is supposedly rated to B20, and during the summer I run B100 in my 7.3 with no problems for the past several years.
b10, b50, are AVG MTTF (mean time till failure) ratings.
If an engines b50 rating is 100 miles, that means that in a test group of tested engines, 50% of them needed major repair before 100 miles.
It is a decent way to test.
I think v10's are good, but not quite as good as some are saying they are.
Remember that most people bought a gas truck cause they couldn't justify a diesel, so typically the gas trucks will live an easier life on AVG.

Just like you are calling GasBuddies liars. I guess we both have better things to do than argue about interpretation of Internet sites?
And how long can you hold the pedal to the floor with 12K behind it at that power level? I can bolt on a nitrous bottle and add 300HP - but not for long
Im guessing A LOT longer then yours. you can control the EGT's alot easier then you can control nitrous popping head gaskets.
as for gas buddy driving across country, it was only right 2 or 3 times. most of the times it didn't even list fuel prices.
