man i remember those good ole days. i had a new 98 dodge dually with a cummins in it, so it wouldn't go fast enough to lay it over. top speed was 90 and it was weighed down with ranch hand bumpers. but that truck didn't hold a candle to my brothers 97 psd. i would beat him on take off but after that all i saw was a ford tailgate so i got a ford and now dodge guys can see my tailgate!
then when you get married you either buy a truck with buckets or you leave the fold up console down (always have too much junk in cupholder) to keep them on their side.

My married one has fake ***** too. She usually stays on her side unless it's dark out.
well to get back on topic (somewhat). i've got to buy 2 trucks for my help to drive (they blew up 2 chevys with 350 vortecs in them) and was curious can the v10 hold up as well as the 7.3 with abusive drivers. these guys could tear up an anvil with a rubber mallet and a spoon. i would get them a 6.0 but i don't have time to make them idiot proof (egr delete, head studs, ect) so can the v10 handle being idled all day, hard throttle take offs, short runs, and atleast get a day on a tank of fuel.
well thats a big factor in my purchase. if the trucks burn 10 more gals a day that is about 35 dollars more per truck per day. you take 20 days a month working, thats 1400 more in fuel. i know the diesel will burn 1/2 to 3/4 tank a day but was curious about the v10. now a 02 diesel costs about as much as a 07 v10 with the same miles but i am not driving them so i don't care about yr model just which one is more economical.
Generally diesel vs gassers save about 25-30% while driven, but the difference goes above 100% when you compare idle. No V10 owner will ever admit his consumption on idle, so it is hard to verify.
Years ago I run 4 cylinder engine out of 1 liter (a quart) bottle. Starting the carburated engine in colder weather it took less than 10 minutes to run it dry. That was a car making 30mpg
