Go for it.

You can say that the diesel will last longer than a V10 as much as you want, but where is you proof?

I have never even seen a worn out Modular. Broken from abuse, or vary rarely a defect, but never just worn to the point of needing a rebuild.

i just said that a dodge v-10 did not compare to a 6.0L I never had a ford v-10 but if it is anything like a dodge I would not touch it with a 10 ft pole but since I never had a ford v-10 I can not say anything bad about it. I live in PA

I would love to see a v-10 get the power and mpg I do now with the mods I have. I get over 20 mpg on the hwy and will get my truck dyno this saturday and will probably make 500 rwhp maybe more and 1000-1100 rwtq. And that is with only a tuner, exhaust and CAI. Can a v-10 do that?

With a CAI, pipe and tuner? no.

But for the amount of money your spending on that and the cost of the 6.4 new I am sure it can be done.

notice how he is the only guy to keep defending the v10, everyone knows a diesel will out pull the v10, last way longer if they are both maintained, and get way better mpg, don't need more than a tuner and some exhaust to quickly get tons of power, and are just badass. But its whatever makes your meat loaf Bill. Im sure you love your v10 and don;t like when there people bash on it. But just face it, the PSD is ford top of the line engine option and thats for a reason.

Those that have mentioned this thread in other threads weren't jerking any chords when they said they didn't want a repeat. Wow. Over 5,000 replies to do some poop flinging? Must be some pretty special poop!

Somehow I think this will be the eternal thread... that is until the moderators kill it. Then we'll surely have someone start up round two.

Man! same excuse every time. Tell me this, why did ford make their 7.3 their top of the line engine option and not the v10? Why are even detuned 7.3 used in heavy duty applications if the v10 apparently tows just as well?

Hell my 5.7 hemi is faster than a stock 7.3 but hook up both of them to a 10k pound trailer and see who wins.

The diesel pulls a trailer like its not even back their while any gas engine knows it's back there. I've driven both and can say the diesel just tows better.

Powerstrokehelp had a 7.3 with 800k that he put nitrous and propane too and that was an abused truck. How about lets see your proof about the v10!

Theres no comparison between the two. Im pretty sure ford designed the v10 for the guy that drives his truck around town, short distances, and doesn't tow often. But the PSD is for the work truck that tows everyday!

But about this thread, I know your just like me and come to this thread to kill some boredom and argue a never ending argument. It's all in fun/ boredom.

Good summary IMHO.
Don't want to repeat the picture how much load my F450 can haul, but my offer that I will still squeeze Bill's van on my set going to junk yard still stays

Notice how it is mostly (but not all) the diesel guys who voided their warranty that talk the most trash.

Jac is bragging about his 6.4l with a spartan tune and DPF delete.

And I bet I still get stuff done under warranty too. It's not hard at all to put the stock stuff back on. So next argurment.

I'm still waiting on you to post that VIN # since you're so adamantly confident in your dealer's abilities to keep your warranty intact..

That's strange. When I went to the dealer in Pittsburgh they had at least 10 6.0 sitting on the lot. I bought my truck in Ohio too (before I moved to WV). They had to go to New York to get it. I see 6.0 leakers and early 6.4 cab lifter all the time for sale around here (and I live a whole 5 miles from PA). I also see V10's pop up on occasion, and yes they are cheaper, but guess what? They the initial cost is less, about $7k less so they should be cheaper.

Why do people brag about the fact their truck will sell for more when they initially paid more? That's like a guy in a high end Benz pulling up next to a Cobalt and saying his car will sell for more. Okay... who cares? You paid more, you get more for resale...

BTW, I pull a 3 horse trailer with a 12' living quarters, and the V10 does just fine with it.
