There are quite a few 6.0ls out there that were maintained religiously, operated properly and were kept stock but still exibited major issues. There are videos from powerstrokehelp where he goes into detail about some of the issues he has found over his years of working with the 6.0l.
Reliable if you don't mess with it and take care of it, My work has a 04 6.0 and its been perfectly fine so far but its all stock.
Not all of 'em. As I posted earlier, a buddy of mine is a maintenance freak, yet his has had everything but the grille emblem replaced since he bought it new. Good business for the local towing company, tho...
I would be there for the next test if it was not a 1,500 mile drive one way.
I thought you were retired...(I thought) If so, it shouldn't be a problem if you put off the turbo you've been saying you are going to put on so you can smoke any PSD on the planet.
My question is , and Josh can back me up on this: why does it only run mid-to-high 10's? That kind of power and torque in a gas vehicle of similar wieght would (in my experience) easily be low 9's.
Exactly. That is what I was saying about 20 pages back.
Thanks. I am thinking a trade school to be an electrician.
lol....you'll make a whopping $14.00 an hour as a journeyman and spend 10 years in it before you become a master electrician...The unions are hell and you won't make it in a trade without joining one. Apparently you know as much about life as you do about trucks.
Good luck.
P.S. You'll be an apprentice for a year or two before becoming a Journeyman.

Well good luck and make sure you move from "thinking" to doing soon. Don't fall into that "I'll take some time off" trap.

Are you really a ******* in real life or do you just act like one on the internet? If you don't think an electrician is a good career choice, how about explaining it in an intelligent fashion.
This must be like your 10th revival from being done with this thread. Wait don't tell me, it's your 4-year old posting now.
I wouldn't believe that for a second. Electricians are in high demand here and typically make a hell of a lot more than $14/hr. I know Colorado is notorious for very low wages period, so that may explain his point of view. But then again, he's been pretty negative on everything else, so maybe that's it.
