Seems to me that Ford terms both the 6.0L and the 6.4L a "powerstroke".

Do you really want to go there? Quick Bill...edit your post before someone points out that a psd while pulling 15k will go further with a 38 gallon tank...or worse yet, even a 29 gallon tank. Hurry Bill, you don't have much time!

i never said they werent......its just that a few pages ago people were turning this into a v10 vs 6.4 debate instead of v10 vs ALL psd. so just clarifying that even though my truck is 12 years old, not being made any more, etc, its still a psd.

I stop before 1/4 tank. I get a little over 10, and I never unhitch the trailer.
My worst ever was 8.08.
I have only had 3 tanks that where less than 10.

I just fill her up & drive till its almost on E. Gallons per hour? Does not matter I get around 8- 10 Loaded or empty with the 4.30's & Auto. @ 65 it turns 1750 - 1800 In OD with 7,500# Out of OD turns 2200 - 2300 with 15,000# Load.

It is a stock work truck who cares the customers pay for it.
Dam my alt. just died last night. DO the v10's have an external voltage reg?

honestly, if i ever saw 10 mpg or less out of my truck i would junk it. i would have to be pulling the boat in those pictures a few pages back before i would admit to 8.08 mpg. gassers complain about the maintenance costs of a diesel, but with both of us pulling the same trailer you would spend more on your first tank or two of gas than i spend on the extra oil, fuel filters, coolant additive, and oil filters in a year.

Can't say anyone I work with would be surprised.

Should have seen them all when I showed up for my first day of work, in my truck. hahaha.

Few months ago the management team wanted a ride in it to lunch. Found a wet spot of pavement and had a lil fun with all of them in there. Turned her sideways, blew some black smoke, and then looked back behind me where a few were them were sitting, and two very staunch guys in suites were all

I use it to make friends. I won't lie.

This is a very viable statement.
