Jay reps to you on that offer, reps to you on that one.
thanks but didnt do it for that, all you guys would do the exact same thing..in fact the houstonians were making offering their homes to us for gustav...its the least we can do.
You guys are tops in my book. Reps to both as soon as I can. Just waiting to get in touch with Scott. He was going to have to drive over an hour to buy one and that was if Lowes had one.

Exactly. Didn't do it for that. I offered it cause I know how it is. Been in that spot more than a few times myself. And from what I've seen on this site. I know there are plenty of people that would do the same.
That's from a while back on the 7point3.com website that a member set up and included a roadside help network. The site is now down and the member is not that active due to work. We were in the process of trying to revive it before the storm hit. You will certainly be on the list.
I am so glad that the members of our FTE family are checking in and they are ok. Like I have said before, this forum is the best, hands down! The offers to help are unsurpassed anywhere.
If anyone needs some type of "care package" , food, first aid supplies, or wahtever, let me know and I will ship it out to you. I already grabbed a buch of flat rate boxes from the post office, ready to ship and fill/
A Jim said, whatever you may need, Please, let us know, I will do what I can..Drives me nuts that I have a generator here in the garage, and no way to "just drop it off" for one our friends here.
Pat I feel the same way, I have 4 total, 1 here at the house and 3 at the shop. To be honest I feel guilty knowing that I have these sitting here and some of our family can use them.....
Pat and Jim, I'm there with you. I have one sitting in the shop. Someone could make a road trip collecting generators but that would be costly in fuel and a logistical nightmare. As fast as the stores got them in when we had the ice in '07, it will be only a couple days before there will be some available. But the desire to help your friends NOW sure is running strong.
One thing that I'm finding to be frustrating is that all of the news channels here are showing what's going on in Texas, what about LA?? Maybe it's just me because of the fact that I have friends there. It almost seems that they show where the storm landed and "forget" about the others affected by it.
Just talked to Scott, he is at Lowes waiting on the truck to deliver the Generators. He is aware the Jay and Micah have one for him. He actually sounded excited about getting his own. He said they told him he was guaranteed one if he waited. If something happens and he don't he will contact on of the guys and take them up on their kind offer. He and his family managed to get some sleep. Raining now and forecast to cool off. He sounded good and his daughter Cody was with him. He will call again when he gets it and headed home.
Thanks for the update, Barry. I'm sure that Scott would rather have his own as it appears that there will be a need for it for a while now and more times down the road. But he can feel safe knowing that there is a backup plan.
