6am here and what the TWC is showing is not good were rick is at and I hope and pray that everybody else down that way are allright.
will keep checking in for updates.
IKE is in scott and susans front yard WOW.
been through a tornado that tore our farm apart when I was a kid,it missed our house,but these things are unreal.

LEVEL AT CALCASIEU PASS PEAKED AT 11.8 FEET ABOVE MEAN LOWER LOW
WATER DATUM EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. HOWEVER...STORM SURGE WILL
CONTINUE TO RISE THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING ACROSS INLAND AREAS OF
CAMERON PARISH. BATTERING WAVES ATOP THE HIGH WATER WILL CAUSE
FURTHER DAMAGE. LA 82 AND LA 27 WILL BE UNDERWATER. AS MUCH AS 8
TO 10 FEET OF WATER WILL COVER THE STREETS IN DOWNTOWN CAMERON.
MANY AREAS OF GRAND LAKE AND HACKBERRY WILL ALSO EXPERIENCE
FLOODING. SOME ROADS COULD SEE AROUND 7 FEET OF WATER OVER THEM.

Jim, you might give it a few hours. If you get through now, there's a good chance the call will be dropped. No sense in wasting his cell battery fighting a jammed network.

The text should store. If someone sends me one and my phone is off I will get it the next time I turn my phone on.

The Fox news channel is confirming the idea of trying to text rather than calling people. I hope Rick and Roland are alright. It looks pretty bad in both of their neighborhoods and Scott's too.

Just checked my cell phone. I got some text messages from Scott. One at 6:35 am his time. He said he was hearing some banging at the back of the house, and that they were really getting hammered and had no power.He heard what sounded like an explosion on the road behind them but couldn't see what it was. More to follow...
