Geraldo is going to bite it on national TV if he doesn't go inside soon, I have been watching Fox for the past hour. I am sure I will be glued to it for most of the night.

Glad you were able to take a lil nap, Scott.

thats why im in the weather channel, they seem to use thier brains there and rather be safe than stupid.

On another note, I really feel bad sleeping tonight in a warm and dry place with what is going on down south of me. I hope you all stay safe and maybe ill get the oppertunity to come down for some disaster relief. Stay as safe as you can!!

The eye just started to reach Galveston. Winds have calmed down and they just showed a couple walking arm n arm down the beach just behind Geraldo. I think that couple forgot that they are in the middle of a hurricane.

Wind is picking up gradually. Street light keeps going out and then coming back on.

Scott! Dude I just now got to this.. I may be heading down there. I got called few minutes ago to be on standby for a rescue response with Skywarn. I figured you ran, you should have called me, you could have come to Austin and stayed with me!

Bunker down and be safe. I'll be up most of the night monitoring reports and packing up. I got word not to long ago theres 4.5 million without power and the Galveston seawall was breached. Not good.

This just came across my Skywarn monitoring station. Util Co is reporting 4.5 million without power, Galveston sea wall is breached, waist high flooding throughout.

Barry, get some rest dude. I think you sleep even less than I do.

Scott, I hope you can get some rest through all of this.

Thanks for the update, Storm.

Thanks, man. Really appreciate that. Just starting to get our asses kicked. Just had a gust of wind that shook the whole house. I opened the front door a minute ago to have a look see, branches all over my lawn and street. Tried to get a picture but it's too dark. Video is uploading now. Path in front of the truck is still clear. Just heard from some friends just across town, right on the shore of Lake Conroe. They say it's getting bad there fast. Television is reporting on the big fire in downtown H-Town and the trouble the firefighters are having. I sure hope that Joe isn't down there in that mess.
