79 light truck buyers guide. It is a book on all Ford trucks that Ford gave to the dealers so they could order trucks for a buyer.

F28 is the cab and chassis VIN.

I guess the Title is right then...I thought the guy had that done because it didn't have a bed on it and he had lost the title..so when he went to get it redone he listed it that way. Now I just wish I could find a good dual tank bed for it!!

Well your about 3 months to late. I sold my solid rust free dual tank bed for 900 bucks to a guy in Iowa. Of course you probably want a shortbed, this one was an 8' box.

Ya..Trying to find a Dual Tank Short Bed is like trying to find Hen's Teeth...pretty tough to find...and Ford quit selling the Dual Tank Bedsides In the 80's...not that they carry much for em nowadays anyway...but..you catch where I'm coming from.

Seats

So I tried to find out using this threads search function and all my results turn me to the first post.

Is the seat in the back of the 78 CC same as the front?

From what I understand the front and back are the same..the rear just doesn't have the handle so you can slide it forward and back.

they are the same seats, you can also have the rear seat slide front and back ...but the only difference that I have seen is a piece of flat stock steel that 'locks' the front seat so that it does not tilt fwd...there is a bolt on both sides that secures a bracket on both the drivers and passengers front seat...here is a pic of it..don't pay attention to the mess in the pic...this is a parts rig

Ok. Thanks, that is good news. I think there was a spot here that showed all the seat interchange between these trucks and and later models. I would like to go with a 60-40 split up front if I can find one that looks like it fits
