Nope full size bronco uses the same body as the pick ups, the broncos just have a different rear piece , so it went in real easy. Just a little info it's got a '76 grill.
that rack looks really dumb on there, why ruin a pickup so you cant haul stuff? not even a good looking lumber rack at that, then its so heavy its smashing the rear down!
Gotta love blind ignorance seen on this site at times... and lumber racks look like butthole by the way! I've seen LOTS of stuff on here (FTE) that looks really dumb to me as well, but you don't see me spouting my mouth off about it as everyone is entitled to do what they want with their truck and build how they like. I can't stand seeing these trucks lowered, and the overly huge tires most of the 4x4/mud guys do look just as bad. BUT, that is MY opinion and it is THEIR truck so I tend to keep that to myself. The fact is - the yellow truck above is sexier to me than 99.9% of the crews in this thread!!!
The truck above isn't your run of the mill "honey I'm gonna go get some firewood" type truck. It's a purpose built rig (it's a "chase truck" = where my screen name comes from) and that is called a "chase rack". This truck is used for chasing racers in the baja races. It hauls/holds everything needed. Since that guy chases a quad team it holds a quad or 2 (pic below I took when the thing came in our pit in San Felipe 6 or so years ago) as well as dump cans of race fuel, spare tires and parts and then tools galore. He's got 2 full size spares as well as boxes full of parts and tools in the bed. How can that not count as "hauling stuff"??????
My truck is being built with a similar purpose in mind, and will also have a chase rack on it when done. Granted I will build my chase rack so it doesn't take up the bed, but I don't chase a quad so I don't need that. My chase rack will look more like the pics below and will hold tires, fuel, etc.
Also - my rear end on the truck will sit a little lower than the front as perfectly level trucks look "off" to me
I'm looking to buy a 72-75 Ford Four Door. I'm not sure exactly what year it is, or what it has under the hood. It has been sitting for some years. It has the normal surface rust, but nothing is too bad. I've been trying to figure out how much something like this would be worth but I'm having trouble finding anything. So I was wondering if you would be able to give me a little help on that? Like I said before, this isn't a show truck, but it is pretty nice.
Hope to hear back from you,
Thanks.
Try searching around this forum a bit. Or this thread even. This question is asked (and answered) ALL the time.
The bottom line of it is "depends on where you live". A crew cab we would consider rusty and not worth crap here in Southern CA would be a "rust free" beauty worth $5k or more in the rusty Northeast...
If i lived in hippyland where unicorn shat rainbows allday id have a rack like that. i kinda like it. Tires on the other hand could be a little more aggressive but then again thats my opinion.

Or if you wanted to build a real mans truck instead of the overly large, 3' deep tread, balloon tire wearing things you rednecks run in the mud out there!
Those tires are the triple layer, kevlar walled BFG project race tire. Bad **** for sure and at $500 or so each retail more than most rednecks like you can afford - haha. Plus - they are build for the desert. Not flinging mud at your neighbors.
*edit* - cheeto the redneck genius just also pointed out the fact that it has the autofab zero flare fenders on the front. These have a 3" wider wheel opening to allow for more up travel without having to resort to the ever loved redneck sawzall to the fenders. This may slightly be adding to the front high appearance. In reality though it's really just that all the GOOD looking trucks sit a little nose high!
bullshiate. Again - kevlar sidewalls on those tires = they don't really get cut up. See the pic of the chase rack on the grey stupid doodie I posted? The tire on that rack has 3 ribs around the sidewall. These are the kevlar bands. Same tires on the crew.
I'd place this crew against any crew I've ever seen on here and bet $$ it would hand other trucks their lunch in a WIDE range of terrain.

Orly? Yet back on page 69 or so you went all rainman and wanted to do this.
