I found mine online in Apple valley CA. I was going to Las vegas from SC for a military exercise so that was the perfect time to have a friend drive me from vegas to CA. Got to the guys house I cranked it up and the fuel pump was leaking bad, so I had to change the fuel pump out first before driving back to vegas. Then after 2 weeks in vegas I drove it all the way back to SC. I got lucky with this one since I took the guys word on it being a good running truck. One thing that did suck was the day I was leaving it would not start, spent 5 hours working on it and come to find out the points were out of adjustment.
hi my name is steve and i got a question. I just bought a 1995 f-350 crew cab. I noticed I have extremely shallow cup holders in the front. everytime I hit a large bump my cup jumps out and spills everywhere! this might not be the right place to post this as this is my first reply/post ever on any forum, but how can I fix this problem? If this is not the right place to ask this question please be gentle with your responses. Thanks everyone and just thought I'd say its great to find guys that love their crew cabs as much as i do!
Welcom Steve! Hey, try this, go to an rv store,or bass pro shops, and get the small black cup holder inserts, (they are about 3 bucks each) just drill/dremmel the bottoms out of your console and insert these, did it on my 79 bronco, works great!

That's an awesome idea! I was kinda shocked when I saw how shallow they were. It's the only complaint I have with my truck. Thanks I'm gunna do it as soon as I get off work tomorrow.
Welcome Steve, you can also post in the 94 - 97 7.3L powerstroke forum on here and also see what those guys did to fix that problem. Stick around and you will learn alot about the PS.
I've been really busy with work lately, so I haven't had a lot of time to work on my Crew much. I did manage to get the bed off it today. I found something I thought was interesting when I removed it:
I suppose that was done by the contractor to make sure the bed went to the right chassis. I assume the '25' means F-250. That's my Crew's serial number and paint code in the other pic.
Not Earth shaking, but I thought it was a cool discovery.
well, i am guessing you have a crew cab, right? It ca be done 2 ways IMO. Both depend on your skill set if YOU are doing it (well, anyone) First off, the front of the frames are different , mostly from the trans crossmember forward. IMO, you would want to slpice in a 771/2-79 front F250 ( or a 79 F350) 4wd front section. My second choice it to remove youe existing front crossmember and build from there (a lot of work) but,you would need a truck as a reference. Ford never made a crew cab long bed 4wd untill 1980. I have a 79 short bed crew cab 4wd. It is for sale (rust free) and if it does not sell soon,I have plans on making it a long bed I will be using a 79 2wd rear frame section,as they are the same . I hope this helps, and BE CAREFUL!
The 2wd f250 front frames are the same as the pre 77.5 4x4 f250s with the exception of a few crossmembers. I did the conversion on my build. I made a new front crossmember witht the spring mounts on it and it practically bolted right on to my 2wd frame. Then you have to fab and install the shackle mounts. Check out my build thread. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ins-build.html
My buddy also just did the a similar conversion to his 78 F350 crewcab long bed, but he used a dodge dana 60 up front.
Hope this helps.
I have a question for everyone. I have found a 1977 F-350 long bed 2wd already converted to 4x4. body is straight and its lifted about 8" with 39" swampers on it. The interior is missing except the seat's, and it has no engine, trans or transfer case. What would something like that be worth.
That's a good question. I have my 79 crew cab short bed for sale in the $6000.00 range, flat bed, XLT, 400 auto all stock non ripped seats and excellent headliner. No bites. Its worth what you are willing to pay, check for rust on the cab gutters, under the bed where the floors are joined, also, heck out the rear doors really well. Does it have a 60 HP up front? Hope this helps.head liners are really impossible as are rear doors/panels
Hi, anyone have some ideas where to post my 79 f250 crew cab 4wd for sale? I did post it on this site and a well known bronco site, tried ebay, got a few flakes, thats it. $5500.00 Near Placerville ca (east of Sacramento ) Thanks,Scott
