Look at the way the front seat back is captured in place. There is a sort of eyelet bolted to both sides of the seat that keeps the back of the seat in place. The wiggle in the seat is from the space in the eyelet. On a normal front seat/ our back seat the eye is made into a hook and when you move the latch for the seat back you’re actually unhooking the same spot the eyelet goes around in our front seats. So it might be possible to modify the hook in the opposite direction to lean back instead of forward.
A stop would complicate things. If you have anything higher than the back seat you’ll be crushing it into the seat. Laying all the way back on the front of the back seat bottom would be nice but it pretty much means your rear floorboard will have to be empty and no one in the back seat. Pretty much no matter what noones gonna be able to be in the back if the front seat is reclined.
I’ll try to post pics of the latch today so we can all visualize it. I believe our front seats have the bar connecting the eyelet on each side just like the latches on the back seats.

I just gave away my seats out of my crew cab. Without them and a tape measure it would be impossible to know for sure. But you could slide the seat all the way forward to add a few inches. I remember the eyelet but that is nothing a die grinder couldn’t fix.
So I’m tossing around the idea of going to a full chassis swap and 12 valve. Curious to what my chassis would be worth. Everything has roughly 1,200 miles on the build.
-1974 crew cab short bed chassis it’s been white wheeled and painted with por15
-Rear Dana 60 4:10 gears and new brakes
-Front is a Dana 44 4:10 yukon gears, yukon limited slip diff, yukon chromoly axle shafts
-Brand new Blue top steering box
-Rear has a shackle flip with 2” block and front has super duty 6” lift springs.
Could sell the engine and trans also, but would separate.
-Engine is a 460, Keith black flat top pistons, procomp aluminum heads, scorpion roller rockers, edelbrock aluminum intake and 650 edelbrock carb.
-Transmission is a 4 spead NP435 with new clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel.

I have a short bed crew that I always wished was a 4x4.
Not sure what you would want for it. But I would drop my body on that frame and switch over my engine and trans.
Where are you located? I know I’ve got a lot in it, which I don’t expect to get it all back. I need to sit down and figure it out. It was built over about 2 to 3 year process and I went through a divorce in the middle of all that so it was money here and there when I had a little extra. What do you think is a fair price? You would need the divorced transfer case also right? It also has a Bronco II rear tank, not sure what tank yours has, but the side tank won’t work with the divorced transfer case and additional cross member.

I'm in Vegas, and the haul wouldnt be the problem. I probably cant afford it in all honesty. Call me a dreamer.
