Hi guys here is my 79 F700 cab sitting on a 2016 f250 frame with a 6.7 powerstroke and f250 front clip. I’m looking for a forum where I can get feed back and interaction lol I’ve have some project threads in the past with no interaction which kinda defeats the purpose
man this is exactly what I’m looking to do. I’m too intimidated to actually start it 🤦🏼♂️ I’d love to follow your build!

ok, I’ll make a build thread tonight, and we will see where that goes!
I do periodical updates on my Instagram which is 38955modeldude
What rear springs has everyone used in their crew cabs? I did a shacks flip but now my pinion angle is off and I’m getting a vibration. So I’m thinking about changing the whole set up. I’m really interested in the chevy springs but all the info I’ve found on it there is no measurements. Has anyone done the swap with more info on it? I did also find a kit for a superduty rear spring swap, but think the lighter duty springs will ride better.

Hi ya Firemedic,
I am running a ;77 F350 longbed 2wd chassis converted to 4x4 up front using '76 highboy springs and frame hangers.
In the rear, I removed rear springs from a short wheelbase '77 f250 2wd Crew for pliability and soft comfy highway ride.
On top of the F250 light spring pack sits a factory overload spring pack which sits on a 1-inch spacer block.
The frames are factory punched with holes for accepting the frame perches for the overload spring set-up.
I sourced the overload spring pack, and spacer block from a 1-ton dually, and sourced the frame perches from a later ford that have the heavy nylon scrubber-pad. I am very happy with my set-up using factory rear spring shackles.

Has anyone seen this truck in the last 20 years. My dad bought this new sold it around 1999 it’s a 1973 f350 with a 79 grille. I’d love to get it back lots of memories. The truck had a fresh paint job and interior when it was sold. Any leads would be appreciated. Thank you.
@justaboutbroke
Dang and double Dang, your dad had a super nice Crew, and long wheel-base same as mine. mine was a 2wd F350.
You guys must have shared some wonderful times together.
When you look at the looong wheel-base in the photo's it sure looks stable for Towing chores.
Shortly out of high school in 1969, a guy I knew bought a new '69-'72 F250 Crew Cab pickup powered w/ the 300 inline six.
Needless to say, it took me several years-plus to convince myself to purchase and restore a Crew Cab Vintage Ford.
OMG, look at what they are worth Today

Howdy, I'm fairly new here. Long time listener first time caller if you will. I have recently acquired a 1978 F-350 crew cab with a 400, NP435 & D70 rear. Bought the truck from its original owner with 26k miles. Sadly it sat in a field for many years. I have looked & looked but cant seem to find much regarding parts. I need to find or make a rear floor pan and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Any advice or pointers in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a nice score Nolan.
It has been 24-years since removing my rear seat for new carpet install on my '77 F350 Crew.
Thes Crew Cabs have always been a very scarce commodity, so you did good scarfing it up. Take your time and think thinks through.
Hopefully someone here may offer up a good suggestion or useable cab rear floor. You may find out you can use something other from a newer rig.
From memory, I believe the rear is pretty flat. Keep us posted, and do start a "build" thread, or use this one.
