I think a 2wd with a tad bit of rake looks good. Proper even. But to each their own.
Mine was a cab and chassis dually that the previous owner put a box on.
I've wavered a bunch on converting to 4wd like so many do, and have decided to go ahead and do it. Just bought a 78' 4wd frame today.
Hope to pick it up in a week or two when work permits.
Not sure if I'll section the front in and plate it, or do a entire frame swap or bail at the last minute and do a crossmember and shackle hangers from scratch....
May convert from duals to single rear wheel too. Haven't decided.
Still gathering parts. Have a lead on a 79' D60 front. Will need a gear swap. Almost out of spending cash for now.
I've posted this pic before, but I never get tired of looking at it.
Hey guys, I been working on my interior (trying to get mouse smell out) pulled out the seats and carpet, still smelled. Looked at the headliner, hmmm pulled it down and thats where years of mouse droppings and **** were. They totally wrecked the headliner. Has anyone built a new one? Or what one uses for the backer board?
I still have mice smell in the cab, is there any magical chemical that will get rid of the smell?
Thanks guys for any responses
Best thing I have used to kill smells is a kennel deodorizer! Does miracles. And my crew cab has a hard board headliner. Almost like heavy duty poster board. It came like that though.

Thanks! Hopefully I can get it completed for this summer.
BoBird, the fire truck does like nice. That's the advantage of being garage kept and used very little I suppose. Looks like it will be fun project. I am curious see how putting the tow cabs together goes.
I noticed that I get a lot of condensation build up inside my truck. This morning around 9am the inside of the windows were covered with dew. Does anyone else have this problem?
