On the headliner of some mid-70's crew cabs, I've seen a T-shaped plastic chrome strip which grips the rib where the roofs are joined and covers the joint between the two pieces of headliner. Has anyone found a replacement for this NLA trim strip?
I have a 1977 f100 2x reg cab longbed. I am wondering if I can take the 8ft bed and cab off the frame and then replace it with a shortbed and a supercab.... anybody seen this done? Is the wheelbase the same? Do I have to lengthen the frame? Any help would be appreciated.
I have done this conversion on a 3/4 ton 4x4. The best approach is to find a pickup that is stock mand get good measurements. The rear axle needs moved back. I think it was around 6 inches. The shape of the frame on a 1/2 ton may make it necessary to lengthen the frame in front of the rear springs. Kind of depends on lift and such with the truck.
Good luck.
