Read this thread over 4 evenings, and it was very educational. I would like to commend the programmer *Vic* for some meaningful insights and wonderful support.
A couple of things i have noticed on my 05 F250 Crew after intalling the SCMT are:
1- The idle and even low rpm noise is more than stock tune.
2- Speeds at 35-40, city driving speeds dont allow an upshift and keep the tq converter unlocked thus spinning higher rpms.
Others have noticed the same i read, but are they correctable?
The throttle tip in is perfect for a 4X4 as it allows a lot of throttle movement without hitting power surges, so bumps offroad wont translate into jerky power delivery. The power is wonderfull on 60%+ throttle when the turbos sing their song.
Excellent work on the SCMT.
Has anyone had the recalls done on their 04s?I had to send my unit back to get updated and its going on 4 weeks.I really miss my unit.Has superchips gotten the latast program running yet? Thanks guys.
Well, this is my first post here! I read most of this thread, which was very good. I ordered a Superchips programmer from motorhaven on sat. I just hit 1000 miles on my 05 CC 4x4 Lariat, and I am looking forward to my new found power!! I am going to be doing my first tow this coming weekend (5200lbs+ 500 lbs in the bed + passengers) up to NE Dragway for Fun Ford Weekend!! Can't wait!!

Vic, I must say you did a fantastic job programing the Superchip.
I have a 2005 psd and just installed the economy mode today. My truck ran good and the transmission shifted very good in the stock mode, I was a little leary of the tuner because I liked the smoothness of the engine and the shift in stock. Everything is just about the same in the economy mode till you get to about 1/3 throttle, then just lay into it and hold on. The tune is very drivable and will get the job done at any speed. By the way I think I will buy some stock in two or three tire companies.

Reason: change word
I have a 05 6.0 that had to have a reflashed (don't ask!).... I had to send the tuner back for a reflash also as I bought it the same day the truck was given back to me from the dealer, and well guess it is a very new file from Ford and the tuner could not suport it. Today I noticed in Tow / Haul I only have 1 downshift not the 3 that I had. Will you be able to give me back my T/H???

I don't understand...
Did Ford make a change to your tow/haul mode?
Please elaborate a little more so I can answer fully.
Did you try to program the truck with the tuner and it said "call superchips, needs update?" If so, it will be updated and sent back to you.

Brian 460! Just saw your video, thanks for sharing, sometimes a movie is worth a million words. Holy cow dude... sure is a straight exhibition of all the power, but I can't help but to cringe of the stress your putting the drivetrain through when your doing that. I was in my 20's I had a pickup (bowtie) 40" tires, half ton, 327 corvette engine all bored out and stuff. I could do that, and I did too, but you know I eventually lost the rearend, u joints on a pretty regular basis, and finally the engine, tried to send me to the poor house, LOL.
