Update for the tracking sheet,
Talked to my dealership today, They were able to get my truck in for diagnostics.... Surprise it is a failed compressor. They have ordered the compressor and other parts of the system. They tell me on Wednesday they will have a better idea on timing of the parts shipping. So we shall see in a couple days.
Is Ford planning to swap out just the failed compressor on these 2024s? Or the entire system? Because my 2020 compressor failed, then got replaced, then failed again, 7 trips to stealership, no AC from 20K miles to 35K miles and it wasnt until this last compressor change out then started blowing hot while leaving the service department so i drove it right back, they changed out most of the system lines and other components. Now I have AC but am preparing to sell the truck as its completely unreliable and Im embarrassed to be in a FORD now.
I asked the same of my dealer service guy. He says they have all the parts of the system ordered up and on hand, but just missing the compressor, for which I am first on their list. They are supposed to do a full inspection for any evidence of metal in the system when replacing the compressor. I'll be adamant they fix it fully when the compressor arrives.
If an A/C compressor frags out then really the only correct way to fix it is replace everything. That being said it should be 20 years before that happens depending of course on how many hours the compressor racks up. My Mom's 2000 Explorer they bought new still has the original A/C that's never been serviced and it even still sort of works. (getting a little weak)
both my toyota a/c systems work fine after 20yr. no idea how many hrs they might of racked up and really dont care. they still work nice is all that matters
Update:
My truck has now been fixed. Compressor replaced, metal in the system, replaced evaporator etc as well. Took it to dealer and had diagnosed on 6/17 repaired 7/8.
Thinking about what impact the delay in getting a compressor would have on possibly causing metal in the system. If so, a simple compressor replacement would turn into an expensive repair requiring a complete system replacement. I was one of the first to experience the AC failure. I brought mine in at 129 miles on the odometer. The compressor was replaced the next day since there were spare compressors available before the run on parts.

@jcaaron99 if able can you post a picture of your service invoice showing which parts were replaced?

I've owned nothing but Fords since 1985, not counting some hobby classics. and I have never had an A/C issue. Never had one need a charge either. So this failure was the last thing I expected.
I think Ford should be doing more to nip this problem, but in the scheme of things, it could have been something way more serious on my brand new truck. I'm trying to not let it sour my new truck experience too badly.

I have had decent luck with older Fords but I have been hearing AC issues in newer trucks including this issue and some F150s having problems. With how complex these things are getting, like the stock market, past performance does not guarantee the future.
Something to think about, on another forum called BlueOvalForums.com there are NO posts about this A/C compressor issue with the 2024 FORD F250-F350 SUPER DUTY. I think this is a site that FORD monitors, so You may want to go over there and tell your story as I have. Search under FORD MOTOR COMPANY DISCUSSION FORUM. GOOD LUCK everyone with getting your truck fixed before fall gets here.
Well here's the deal: a truck is transportation. The basic truck has to have a robust engine, drivetrain, brakes, and air conditioner. All the tech stuff doesn't matter at all if these basic things are not right. It appears that Ford is not aggressively fixing this serious problem based on all these posts.
These trucks are way too expensive to have to worry about and deal with this after the sale. Anyone who buys one of these trucks without doing some research is likely going to get screwed. And no one who is researching this big ticket purchase beforehand is going to buy a new Superduty until it is proven that latest build dates are not having AC system failures.
Ford really better start paying attention and first, fix all the existing failures immediately, and second eliminate this issue on new trucks coming off the line. Because this economy with extreme inflation will not support a base of customers who can afford these trucks if Ford is allowing this to occur.
I never thought I would ever buy another GM truck, and the new Rams have all their problems too, so that is not an option. But now going to research on GM forums to check those trucks out. And wait until later in the year to see if later build date trucks are still seeing AC compressor failures. I would have entered my order for a truck already if not for this. Bottom line, Ford better start addressing this issue a hell of a lot more aggressively. I have driven only Ford for decades, this is just depressing. Bummed.

I have just added mine there - there was a complete absence of any mention of AC issues! Let's hope they accept my post.
I'm hating posting this but I am joining the list today. 2024 F250 Lariat Ultimate with the 6.7HO Tremor. 1650 miles on it and it started blowing hot air yesterday afternoon. I'm calling and taking it into the dealer this morning. It still has paper plates on it. SMH!!
I sent in a reply to BlueOval.com so other prospective buyers can be aware of this since the dealers are not exactly forthcoming during the buying process. LOL
