Still waiting for my parts is this the right part #
Had to text my dealer today to get an update. Is this the right part #? LC3Z19D786B. They have diagnosed the clutch and coil that goes on the compressor.. still waiting on parts.
Looking for a Non CDK dealership tomorrow to try to get it in. Not expecting much.
Truck was diagnosed today (7/3) with a bad compressor, as expected. Parts are on order but no date or ETA on arrival currently. The bad part is, I need this truck to haul my fifth wheel this weekend. So now I'm taking 2 vehicles instead of 1. Luckily it's only going a couple hours away. But I'm in Texas...
You can add mine to the list. 2024 F-250 HO diesel, build date April 2024. I picked up the truck from the dealer June 7th, and AC went out on June 12th at about 1,700 miles. Has been to the dealer 3 times and still no diagnosis. They tell me it's not the compressor, but I don't believe it. I have called Ford several times and they have been absolutely no help to me. It seems like they are trying to delay the process as long as they can to avoid buying the truck back.
At 1700 miles my AC stopped working on my new 2024 F-250 King Ranch. Took it to the dealer and they were aware of 4 others that had been in for the same problem. After talking with the Ford Engineer, the dealer confirmed the compressor needed to be replaced. "PCM is shutting down your AC compressor". I am apparently 60 in line for a compressor. Backordered of course. In addition, some how or the other my secondary radiator cap was missing.

I purchased my new 2024 F-250 Lariat Tremor 6.7 HO the first week of May. Right at 1000, miles, first week of June, my AC went out. Took it to the dealership and was told I had a bad compressor and like everyone else it's on back order. It's extremely frustrating and going through this in the Las Cruces New Mexico heat sucks even more. My truck has a 3/24 build date. I currently own a $100,000 hot box. Ford doesn't seem to care much about those of us with this problem who recently purchased these trucks. They have our money and it doesn't seem to be a priority. Their focus is on trucks yet to be sold and future sales. I also canceled my extended warranty a month ago. I was an idiot to purchase on the day of purchase. Third party Triton Protect is trash. My balance has yet to be reduced even though cancelation docs were sent weeks ago. My first Ford vehicle. Might be my last.
Actually very lucky the dealer is going the extra mile.
Because if there are metal particles left in the system, could trash a new compressor and ultimately the problem would not have been fixed. It will be interesting to see if just a compressor replacement in these trucks last long term.
Really the whole system should be replaced if the compressor came apart. Now you've got a condenser that's likely plugged up with metal shavings. Maybe the evaporator is okay to chance reusing, especially since they are often buried and require taking the whole dash apart to get to, and usually there is a filter or orifice tube where it switches from high to low side pressure that keeps the low side from getting contaminated, but all the stuff in the engine bay should be replaced. Check this quick one out:
We purchased this truck in February and with only a few thousand miles, the AC is out! We are currently in Mexico, we are here for the next 2 weeks and are supposed to be road tripping. Our 2nd day here and the AC is blowing hot air! After googling, my husband ran into the forum and it's upsetting to say the least. What are we supposed to do now? We have a 15hr drive back home with 3 kids! FORD NEEDS TO DO BETTER!
