Unfortunately, It's cascading. Beyond just not having the truck for everyday use, we've had to cancel a Week long July 4th RV trip.

Everyone who expected us to be there is impacted as well. Campgounds, Local economies, etc. For other's there's also the economic impact of payments, interest, insurance, etc. Everyone's situation is different, but I think we can all agree just being without the truck is just the beginning. There's many down level consequences when dealing with HD trucks.

I mention this because many of you may not know that Buy Backs are not the only options when dealing with Lemon Laws. You can easily extract 10k from Ford/GMC/Ram for the losses incurred. For those of you who aren't interested in getting your vehicle bought back and wiping your hands clean, I urge you to seek monitary compensation instead. Until they feel the pain, this will not get any better. Hit em where it counts. Also, if you do get monitary compensation, you'll be signing a NDA and you forfeit any future rights to submit any claims for the system in question. Meaning, you get one shot at getting compensated for the AC issue, but if later on the transmission craps out, you can do it again for that. Go get em!

Seriously, this is an awful way to handle the situation. I feel terrible for anyone who is waiting for this debacle to end. Another case of owner beta testing.
I did not spend a 100k to sweat my azz off

I am with you on that one of not sweating my azz off!!!! My service department has not been very responsive either! First available appointment is end of July!!!! So $100+ thousand dollar truck sits with no A/C. Not that I am expecting them to drop everything for my truck but one would think that they would be proactive and at least order the parts ahead of the service appointment. "Well we need to diagnosis the issue" I can understand that but these AC failures all seem pretty cut and dry. A lot of new faces in the service staff. This is probably the 5th high dollar vehicle I have bought from them in the past 4 years.

Compressor On "back"Order for me

Just received word from my dealer that ford has authorized a compressor. National Backorder, with 2300 vehicles waiting for one.

Said I wouldn't be getting a compressor anytime soon. They will call me when it eventually comes in.

Said I can pick the vehicle up or leave it. I'll be picking it up so I can use it locally. Windows down!!!!

Lemon laws don't typically kick in until 2 or 3 repairs for the same issue. How would you propose we get compensation if it only amounts to a recall issue? I don't see Ford compensating me for being unable to drive my truck in 100F heat because I have no AC. I'd love it if they would, but I don't see it happening.

I'm about to have to cancel my Colorado road trip for the 4th of July because of this issue, so I am truly pissed.

GA and FL have a 30 day cumulative rule on top of the 3 repairs + final repair request. Everyone's laws differ. Read up and take advantage of what your state offers. I'd imagine some states are better or worse. GA is pretty good.

(a) (1) If a consumer reports a nonconformity during the lemon law rights period, the manufacturer, its authorized agent, or the new motor vehicle dealer shall be allowed a reasonable number of attempts to repair and correct the nonconformity. A reasonable number of attempts shall be deemed to have been undertaken by the manufacturer, its authorized agent, or the new motor vehicle dealer if, during the lemon law rights period:

(A) A serious safety defect has been subject to repair one time and the serious safety defect has not been corrected;

(B) The same nonconformity has been subject to repair three times, and the nonconformity has not been corrected; or

(C) The vehicle is out of service by reason of repair of one or more nonconformities for a cumulative total of 30 days.

Right all of that is normal lemon law, but doesn't compensate beyond some net price of the vehicle taking into account mileage. Doesn't account for the missed vacation, accessories put on the truck, etc.

Getting a cash settlement for your troubles is not lemon law. Two totally different things. Ford, GMC, RAM will pay to keep you quiet and to go away. The amount is not tied to anything beyond what you and your attorney can negotiate, and there’s a nda.

you folks are crazy, bored, etc. making a thread complaining on your damn AC.
rip the ****er out of the damn shop and tow your trailer on your RV trip. Roll down the damn windows and enjoy your day. Probably be good for you.

trying to sue a car company for a broken a/c system is the most petty thing. Who has time for that.

i really wish these companies would hold these consumers like you and hit them where it hurts, counter sue you with their attorney’s to show you and use folks like you as an example, cost you thousands of $$. Don’t mess with them.

tou complain about truck prices, insurance prices, etc. folks like you are why car insurance is high, wanting to sue for every fender bender, sue cause your a/c doesn’t work etc.

Just remember when you screw with companies that have attorneys on payroll, they are like sharks, when nothing to do, they are slow the owners want them to work and they send them costing/ making money on you!

yes, corporations like ford do the same.

you sound like me, just run it as is. Much easier to do. Then let it sit and ruin your day.

Glad to hear you are not trying to sue to make money on it.

Are you totally delusional? If a customer spends $60k to $100k on a new truck, don't you think it is reasonable to expect good reliable service from that truck? No one is trying to sue Ford for this non-sense. All they are trying to do is realize good reliability and service from a high dollar purchase. Seems totally reasonable to me. You must not live somewhere that has temperatures over 100* with 85% humidity. Trust me, it is not optional to be able to get into the truck at the end of the day to turn on the AC full blast, when the interior is going to be over 130* from being locked all day with the windows up. Ford attorneys are NOT going to come after a truck owner for trying to get Ford to stand behind the product. That would make for some awesome advertising (LOL) if they did such a totally stupid thing. Can't even believe someone actually posted such BS as this.
