Has anyone else had a problem taking the ebp line to exaust manifold off? I took mine off yesterday and stripped the connector from line to manifold. I have a new line from when I changed the EBP sensor but I had to order a new manifold conector from RiffRaff.
Yes, exhaust parts are famous for SUCKING like that. Penetrant is your friend. Oxy/acetylene (thermal manipulation) are your friends when that doesn’t work.

I removed and cleaned my EBPS tube years ago and at ~200,000 miles. It too was a bear to budge off and a bit of 50/50 ATF/isopropyl alcohol worked well at getting the fitting off. I too thought I was going to break it, but it eventually came off. I ended having to order a new EBPS as the original was done for.
It happens and at least it was not an expensive or labor intensive part to replace.
Thanks guys I thought I had done something wrong. I sprayed it withPB Blaster and broke a 16mm box end wrench trying to get it off. My son finally got it off with a 5/8" wrench and a pipe cheater! Shipping was more expensive than the part!!!!!!

I used to call it "thermal persuasion".
Those old air cooled VWs that had the exhaust nuts rusted to the studs when I was just trying to replace a rotted muffler never stood a chance when they were heated up red hot and then some gentle persuasion applied. If a stud broke off, then it was time to replace the cylinder head on those old aluminum heads and I didn't want to have to go through all that just for a broken stud. (Gotta keep the good customer relations intact. )
Thank you guys! I would have never been able to tackle this project without you guys' advice, knowledge and support so again thanks!!!!! I will keep ya'llposted with the progress.....

Hey guys, being it's Momma's Day weekend I didn't get to the 7.3. Did a lot of yard work that she wanted done. I put 8 tons of fresh sand on the beach, built her a new swing down on the point by the picknic table, added cap block on the seawall and trimmed limbs on the Leland Cypress trees. Whew I'm whooped!!! Hopefully I will get back on it when she goes back to work tomorrow.LOL!!!! I will take some pics of the progress.
