What intake do you guys recomend? I currently have a K&N.
Stock is good if your other air consuming parts are stock (turbo, injectors, tuning, etc...) as long as the stock box is not broken or damaged and seals well. If you want to upgrade as some of us like to do, your two best bets are the AIS intake (recently discontinued and difficult/expensive to find) or the Donaldson Blue 6637 style intake. Other than that you can get into S&B, Airaid, etc...
You would be best suited with a dry filter over an oiled filter though whichever path you take.
I’m used to people not taking my advice. It’s just usually not people as smart as you!!
Im kidding!! Nothing wrong with what you did. I just don’t find stuff in the tank that could plug up the pickup - except the failed umbrella pieces. Actually, very seldom does anyone even need to change the WIX 33972.
Yes, this I can agree with for sure.

I remember a “recent” (within the last year maybe) issue someone was having after the Hutch. Seems like he ended up having a piece of paper or sticker stuck in the pickup tube.
I agree though it’s unlikely.
Smitty, I too prefer the AIS intake system. Unfortunately they are hard to find now since rumor has it they’ve been discontinued.
Just my luck RacinJasonWV, day late, dollar short........The 6637 sounds like the best bett for me because I don't drive the truck more than mabe 150 miles a month.
If you are going with a 6637 style filter, might I be so bold to suggest a pre-filter cover as seen below in my engine bay and at the link below to Riffraff Diesel. The covers come in a variety of colors. The tube/connection between the filter and the intake tube on my truck is actually the same tube that FTE'r Brian42 owned. He sold it to me when his truck was totaled by a careless Jeep driver.
Mr. Sous that is a mighty purty engine bay right there my friend if I do say so myself!!!!! And you may be so bold I respect your advice very much. I will defintely add a sock to the 6637 from RR. Now I just have to find a scrap piece of 4" exaust pipe somewhere????
Grab the Donaldson Blue filter while ordering that cover. Riffraff also sells a kit, but with just a pipe and clamp you can piece this together cheaper.
