The turbo is rebuilt with the KC 300 Kit.New gaskets and o-rings on everthing, fuel bowl, oil reservoir etc.I'm getting ready to install the ID Billet plenums and was wondering what size bead of Ford 31 Sealer to apply. any help on this is greatly appreciated as usual. And oh yeah, i got the drill and tap and plug in the spider.

Are you talking about the billet inserts for the OEM plenum ports? If so, no TA-31 sealant should be used as they are a reinforcement/support part and not a sealing surface.
If you are referring to the Riffraff billet plenum covers, again no TA-31 sealant is required as they have an o-ring that seals against the engine surface.
If you are talking about IDP (missed the P in the post above) and do in fact need TA-31, then use just the right amount... Helpful right... Seriously though, maybe take a piece of sheet metal and test various bead sizes with the IDP billet plenum cover until you reach a level of coverage and sealing you are happy with.
If you are talking about something else that I have completely missed the mark for, my apologies.
I'm using the Irate Diesel Performance Plenums and yes I forgot the P. my mistake. I'm thinking probably between 1/8th to 3/16 bead. Hopefully most of the "squeeze" will be on the outside so I can clean up my mess! Thanks guys for the help as always.....

Mistakes happen sir, at least this one caused minimal confusion and there was no financial loss.
I read it a few times and kept going to ID = Inside Diameter...
I think a bead of 3/16" would be sufficient as the surfaces are both very flat and rigid, so the spread of the TA-31 would be adequate to create a seal. Keep us updated and good on you for checking yourself before jumping into the deep end.
I got the plenums in and they turned out good. Not too much mess. One more thing off the list of many things to do. I will post pics as soon as I figure out how to do it and when there is something "purty" for you guys to see.....
SSJ is my mentor! I saw all of his pics and liked them so much that I wanted mine to look the same. I think they say that imatation is the best form of flatery"just sayin".Anyway thank ya'll and I will keep ya'll posted on the progress. Have a great day all!!!!!!!
Has anyone else had a problem taking the ebp line to exaust manifold off? I took mine off yesterday and stripped the connector from line to manifold. I have a new line from when I changed the EBP sensor but I had to order a new manifold conector from RiffRaff.
