Now if only there was this kind of support for computer nerds who moves their office PC to another case so they can build a file server resulting in a dead office computer. Which runs their business...
Step 1: Take computer outside and smash with sledgehammer.

I figured you would be familiar with Japanese given your forum handle.
For those who don’t know, Hyakkimaru is an anime character.

Guess there's no hiding it now! I am an avid anime watcher. Which is where my name came from. Sous had asked me in the past but, it was embarrassing I guess so I told him it was randomly generated. Of course I felt bad for saying this and lying but, I didn't want to get into the whole anime thing and being embarrassed at the GTG. The cat is out of the bag!
Sorry Sous!

No shame in that. My favorites are GITS, Patlabor and Eureka Seven. I hate Gundam.
You do not want a bind in the track bar at rest. With the truck's weight resting on everything and affer driving a little to settle it all, measure the length you need.
The ONLY reason the track bar even exists on these leaf spring trucks is to alleviate bump steer. Leaf spring rigs have been driven for decades without one before 1984-ish because the leaf springs locate the axle in both axis already by themselves. The only thing it does on a Ford solid axle truck is cause the front axle to move in a similar arc to the drag link over the suspension travel. This maintains a constant horizontal length of the draglink instead of it effectively becoming longer in that axis when the suspension compresses and shorter when it extends. Yes, that causes an inherent bind in the suspension over uneven terrain.....but these trucks have nowhere near a "long-travel" suspension so the effect is minimal.

This is why I want to switch to coil springs and 4-link both my axles.

Not a problem Tristan, you did what you thought was right at the time. Remember you had just driven all night after working a full day and had little to no sleep during the first day of the GTG. That was the day you and I were chatting at the gazebo and I asked how to pronounce your FTE name and where it came from.
Although, you should always just be yourself. If people don't like it, then they can find someone else to chat with. That said, I/we still consider you a friend and you are always welcome to the GTG's in the north GA mountains. Friends and family are always welcome.

Thank you Sous. It means alot to me. Really it does.
In other news, track bar is in! Cost me $6.50. my dad welded it up for me. Worked out pretty well! We had to turn the wheel a little bit to get it to line up but had no issues. I'm getting ready to torque the front u-bolts down after my drive I did a few minutes ago and then, I'm going to put the rear lift blocks in. What's the torque spec for the rear u-bolts? And what's the best way to get at the u-bolts on the rear? I can get an impact on the two on the tire side but, the other two are underneath the bed. I don't think I can break one of those loose with just a breaker bar. Thanks!

I have been know to resort to smashing things. But I had just bought it last April and it is a mid range gaming PC...used equipment, but not disposable!
But I've made progress, and I'm not burning any diesel or making any $$$. The whole file server project is one to reduce the ill effects of a PC used for my business going down...

Sorry dude. I did not mean to out you. The LGBTQ (Lelouch, Gundam, Bakemonogatari, Tekken and Q-Taro) community is very welcoming though.

Not at all! No need to apologize. I'm glad you did actually! It's been bothering me that I lied to Sous. I wanted to speak up myself but was to embarrassed! Thank you good sir!
All that's left on the axle swap is one rear shock left and to put the front bumper back on! I also need to take my steering shaft back off and realign it and bleed my power steering system. And ensure there are no leaks there of course!
From ground to center of wheel well on the rear is 31 and 1/2 in from the ground. On the front it's 32 in. I'm also an unlevel ground but, it is very very close and almost unnoticeable unless you are specifically looking for that!
Easy fix. Drop link should have an adjuster in it. Make sure front wheels are straight and turn adjuster until steering wheel is straight. Be sure to retighten clamps on drop link adjuster when done.
