Which bar do you need to know about? I don’t know the answer but can brave the cold long enough to go get you a few photos if it would help. You asking about the sway bar?
I meant to put a picture in the other post! The main end link itself. It's got curves in it. I just don't know which way it goes. Thanks!
Great progress you have made Your Purple Highness!!
LMAO
Hope you can lift the truck a few more inches easily.
You could also let alot of air out the tire if needed.
Bee you tee full sunny cool day here in the 40s now.
Hope it's better weather there for you.
The orientation of the end links can be confusing. You are not alone in wondering which way is up.
I'm hesitant to respond, because you have the older design, and while I can always refer to the newer design under my truck, I don't remember much about the endlinks in the older design... only that the pillow blocks were stamped and below the frame flange (versus castings nested above the frame flange) and the heat shielding added to protect the grease seal membrane from heat exposure of the down pipe.

Much better weather today! Sunny, no wind and somewhere in the 40s to 50s for the high today! Unfortunately I don't think I can let quite that much air out of the tire...
I will not get a photo unless you want me to. Based on Y2K’s info about the newer being different and the fact that runningman already shared the correct photo it seems mine may just add confusion.

Don't worry about it! Thank you for helping regardless! I got it taken care of! I have the driver side shock tower on and I am on the rear bolt of the leaf spring. After that I'll put the sway bar in and then my front axle!

You will be stretching them legs to get in that truck...good thing you got your new running boards!

for some reason my phone double posted. Ignore this reply
Well, I ordered a pitman arm for a four-wheel drive 32 splined e99, turns out the e99 4x4 pitman arm is a smaller diameter 32 spline. About 1/8 in different. Basically I have to get another steering gear like Jason said. They don't make a pitman arm that'll fit on the splines of my steering gear. It is what it is. Sway bars in. Getting ready to Jack the truck up some more and put the front end on.
I bought a steering gear at AutoZone when I had a failure while traveling. It was a piece of crap that was loose and leaked from day one, but it got me back on the road and it worked as a core return for a BlueTop. Not ideal, but if you need a gear like yesterday, that is an option.
