Added a set of these to the "spring time purchase" when I pick up a Stihl FS131R to keep the tall grass around the pond under control. I did not know these gloves existed, thank you sir.
Well that makes sense... Usually when the palm is used as a hammer, all the does is make your hand hurt while you are going to grab a hammer.
Good luck to you Tristan. I was thinking about your task at hand when I saw the snow flurries yesterday afternoon up here.
A friend of mine was a Taekwondo instructor and he taught me how to drive a roofing nail with my hand. After tapping the nail into a wall stud, we would hit the nail with the heel of your palm hard enough to make the wall move. And I could nearly drive it home with one hit. The force of the hit comes from the stance you take, and not thinking about the nail going thru your hand. I'm a lot older and maybe a little smarter now...I have plenty of hammers!

I also use the Asian arts to drive nails in with one hit.
I never could pronounce or spell your original user name right anyway.
I asked Tristan about his FTE member name at the October GTG as I was curious where it originated from.

That is impressive, but I too have multiple hammers of multiple sizes.
This story would have been perfect at the gazebo about the time Brad mentioned he stepped in a rattlesnake nest and we were trying to figure out if he was full of crap or not.

If I could change it I would! Speaking of which, you're a moderator so, could you change it?? If you could I'd say just change it to my name or something! Or even purple highness!

After replacing half the roof of my 25 x 30 garage using a hammer, I have since bought 2 nail guns. I don't know how many times I smashed fingers and / or my thumb, but I will certainly buy another nail gun when the time comes to replace the other half!

How about PurplePrincess?
Aliteration is always fashionable.

Apologies to the Purple One, but while he is busy wrestling with his passenger front leaf spring in the cold, we have a few moments to take on this tangent and talk frankly about a topic that is certain to stir the pot: Gun Control.
Once you buy one nail gun, you always end up buying another. Or three. Or four. I think I have five. It's out of control.
So... getting a gun often leads to getting more guns.
Similar to the Purple One... he started off just trying to tighten up his front end. Maybe replace a ball joint or two.
I often say to myself out loud ‘Don’t use your hand as a hammer’. But my hands are messed up. Bone Spurs, arthritis, etc from lots of abuse/multiple injuries.
My grandfather would say to use the right tool for the job. (Pry bar or chisel instead of a screwdriver for example...)
Good work so far Tristan - you’re on the downhill side of this now!!
The track bar is a pita. Install the lower bolt in track bar before hooking up the tie Rod to pitman arm. Then after pitman arm is hooked up, turn the wheels to get upper track bar bolt lined up.
Wow... You have quite a few nail guns. Sounds like an addiction! I have yet to get one but, I want one!
Dont let me interrupt y'all's gun talk, I just have a quick question. I was unaware that the end links were formed. I have driver side and passenger side separated but, which way does it actually mount to the truck? The bar appears to be identical whether it's upside down or right side up but, does the curve go (starting from the top) towards the frame or towards the transmission?

Will do! Thanks! I have the driver side leaf spring shackles mounted and sway bar mounts installed. I'm getting ready to put the driver side leaf spring on and then roll my front end over there. I jacked the truck up until the tires were just off the ground but, now that the leaf springs are on I can see I should have jacked it up quite a bit more. I couldn't fit the front end underneath it if I tried. I'm going to have to Jack the truck up some more to get the front end underneath. Honest mistake.
Which bar do you need to know about? I don’t know the answer but can brave the cold long enough to go get you a few photos if it would help. You asking about the sway bar?
