Looks like the same fog lights I was eyeballing yesterday. My OEM fogs are goners and the bumper is out of shape just enough that OEM replacements will not mate to mounting holes.
I kinda like that location for the light projection. Maybe a bit more vulnerable to damage but they are not expensive and that's a quick and easy location to replace them.
My move to Las Vegas has brought me into contact with people who are pretty serious about their lighting for offroad conditions deep in the desert. They tell me Baja Designs is the way to go for auxiliary vehicle lighting.

I’m going for proof of concept before, if ever, going buku bucks.

Just looked into them. OMG. Them are BUKU BUCKS. Just a quick glance at Amazon and wow.
I get buy once cry once but I can replace the cheapos 10 times before I’d break even on the cheapest Baha’s.
As purchased. Looks bad but all just surface rust with a little bit of pitting. Underside. A degree of separation. Wire wheeled off the rust and hit it with a rust converter primer. I went with 3/8 x 3/4 for the tray to mount bolts with a nylock nut on the bottom. Still needs a coat of paint.
I have acquired some of that and have a plan that will hopefully be able to utilize the entire fender hole and taper to whatever opening I put into the AIS housing. The goal is to have it pressure fit between the fender and airbox.
That modification is on the back burner for now.
Tomorrow the goal is to get it fitted with the battery tray and the secret zoodad.
Grill is off, battery tray and 6637 are on the shop floor.
I really like the idea of contouring the material between the fender hole and the AIS hole. Chubs up all my airflow pleasure zones.
BTW what is that material called? I worked with that crap 40 years ago and forget the name.
If you drive in snowy climates I'd suggest adding a very loose filter between the fender and the contoured material whose name I am forgetting. Like a strip of shop vac filter. Y2K had a nice post years ago on why Ford went away from the fender air intake. The nub of it is snow/ice will be thrown up into the fender intake. So I'm thinking a minimal barrier like a sheet of shop vac filter will ameliorate that to a large degree.

I haven’t a clue what the stuff is called. I ordered some electrical equipment for my office and it was packed in a cardboard box with the stuff. As soon as I saw it when I opened the box I knew what I could repurpose it for. Been sitting on it for a couple of months. This AIS has been in the works for a while now.
I also read the post from Y2K about the snow and ice and I believe that it was the early 99’s that had the snorkel into the fender hole as the singular means for cold air intake. Later they moved to the front mount snorkel to correct the issue. I don’t remember if it was a recall for the earlier models.

Yeah I can understand the hesitation with BD's prices. I guess it is worth it to the off-roaders I talk to since they smack the everloving daylight out of their equipment.
Baja Designs are some of the best if not the best. They are usually used on the pro level but are gaining popularity to the avg consumer. My brother uses them on his Can Am side by side as well as his Ford Raptor.
He used to have Rigid I believe which also make great expensive off road lights.
These lights are extremely durable and can take some serious impacts among other things
