How far does pressure drop when you floor it?

Barely a twitch but that is just sitting stationary in the shop. She’s in hibernation for the winter with storage policy insurance so I can’t go do a road test.

I’m not going to rip into the FPR right away. I’ll wait to see if it settles a bit.

All those fittings and no PSO. I like the AN lines. This was my first time using them.

Yup. AN is the gold standard of plumbing as far as I’m concerned.

For some reason the gpr circuit isn’t working. No glow plugs so an extended crank time. I will dig into that later today.

Had some exhaust smoke coming from under the hood. At first I thought it was electrical, since I just wired in those relays, but a quick smell and its exhaust.

Checked the down pipe and the flanges are mated properly, I think I may have missed the mark at the baby’s butt when I rebuilt the turbo.

Is it possible to have the V-band clamp installed but still have a gap between the collector and turbine housing.

Possible yes, likely no. How many times has the v-band clamp been removed and refitted?

Only once that I have performed. When I did the KC S300 turbine wheel and 360° rebuild kit.

The only other time it’s been apart was when I paid Bernhausen Diesel to reseal my exhaust manifolds, up-pipes, bpv delete and wicked wheel.

I was confident that it went back together tight but as you know that is a brail procedure.

I’m going to get a buddy to come over and give it a quick crank to see if I can isolate the leak location, but it’s definitely coming from the topside.

Glow plug relay is bad. Confirmed by using the AIH relay.

Disappointing since the GPR that died was replaced September 4/24. NAPA brand, but I didn’t have any options 6-1/2 hour from home.

Gonna see if they will replace it and if not White Rodgers will be ordered for the replacement.

Trombetta 684-1241-212 Trombetta 684-1241-212

I tried a Napa one years ago on the white truck and had similar luck.

This Trombetta unit is still working well since June 2020, though it was "singing" to me yesterday when I turned the key to warm up the plugs. I hope that's not an indicator of going out.

Thanks Jeff.

Just did a google search and came up with the same one. In fact there was a link to it on an FTE thread done by KO 76.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...y-install.html

I’m thinking that the Stancor may be a better fit for me based on the fender relocation I did last year. You mentioned that you “removed 4wd pulse vacuum hub-lock solenoid”. Was that necessary or just something you did?

I thought it was necessary at the time - might have just been convenient. I wonder if you could use the space to the right of the starter relay - where I put a Noco charger.

Looks like I’ll be going trombetta for 1/3 the price of the stancor.
