My kits from Banner are due here on Wednesday but I am headed back to Utah tomorrow. For those of you who have installed it yourself, how much work was it?

it takes 10 minutes at the most to connect the 2 modules to the (back of the) obdII connector and zip tie the shock sensor to the under dash location.
Wow and Ford suggested labor to install both pieces is $696.14. That's insane.

The hardest part is contorting yourself into a position to see up under the dash and attempt to zip tie. Like I said earlier, velcro tape is the way to go and put the RMU in the A pillar. I pulled back the door trim, removed that vent looking thing on the side of the dash and inserted the RMU into the gap created from pulling down the door trim. Couldn't be easier.
Unfortunately that's not Ford suggested labor. That's simply what the dealer feels like charging.
Dealers don't have to use Ford labor times on these.
Actually I got those numbers from the Ford accessory page for the 2017 Super Duty. I subtracted the suggested part price from the suggested install price.

Yeah, that page has been all over the place with install pricing over the past couple years. At one time it told me install was $15 on these. I doubt the dealer would honor it saying it was a system glitch. You can also use the ford parts site as well, same story with wild price differences on parts and install. Although it's easier to compare pricing across different dealers on the parts website. I just ordered a hood deflector from there. My local dealer wanted $30 more than another nearby dealer.

If the Ford accessory site shows an installed price when you select a dealer, it means that dealer, not Ford, set up their own labor charge. Ford never publishes (to the public or the dealers) install prices. Ford only publishes to dealers "recommended" book times, but never forces dealers to stick with these recommended times.
Dealers have all the freedom to set their own install pricing. Dealers also have all the freedom to edit pricing on the Ford site. Most dealers set their pricing high online because the Ford site is terrible and extremely glitchy. If the pricing seems high I would call the dealer directly for a more accurate price quote. If it's still too high, perhaps locating another dealer would be the best bet.
Hopefully this helps. Labor pricing online fluctuates quite a bit. I would't trust those prices.
I got mine activated today - took a couple of calls, but once I got a hold of the guys at Banner Ford it took only minutes, if not seconds to activate.
The lock/unlock & remote start (with timer) are really toys that I don't see myself using much (although I must say even this evening, I had my phone in my pocket, but not my keys so I was able to unlock & start the truck).
the FIND feature is a joke...all it does is beep the horn like a conventional remote would do, I don't know if I'm glad or not that it doesnt actually display a map where the truck is parked.
the REAL value in this app & subscription is the security breach alerts (via phone).
Hells bells.... if I ever reach a time or place where I don't know where my truck is parked and have to use some ***** vehicle locator, just shoot my *** and bury me in my rig... when you find it...

I don't disagree, but for those of us who fly for business A LOT, its tough to remember where we park week to week.
IF it mapped where the vehicle was, it would be a HUGE win for insurance / theft recovery.
