Remote Access and additional Vehicle security kit!

They didn't give me any thing there were some access number that came with the remote access, they supplied everything I just pulled it in the shop, went to parts counter picked up the parts counter picked up the parts gave them to the service manager and about a hour later the said its ready to go.

We will need about 5 mins of the vehicle being stationary.

Installed it yesterday, left a message this morning, got a return call, activation and PIN, system is working 😁

Is that for the cell signal to get in? Does it change the effective range of my factory remote start keyfobs?

Yes, it's for the remote start device to access the cell phone network it uses. I haven't tested the fob range, but I don't see how it could affect the fob range. I had it installed in my truck before I took delivery yesterday and it works great. Really freaking cool.

Indeed. But the listed web page is pretty insistent that the antenna is required for all remote start upgrades...

My truck already had remote start, so I only bought the kit in the link. I did also purchase and install the LED, but since the kit adds cellular (infinite range), I wasn't concerned with an antenna to extend fob range.
