I had these 2 items installed on my truck on Friday. Did you all get the shock sensor with your security kits? Mine said it was optional and did not come with it. The security kit was still $261.

FT4Z-19A361-A (Perimeter Plus) is the shock sensor with the OEM solution. It is also the hub for the smart-phone remote access/start option, and the Long-Range remote start option (redundant IMO if you have remote start already... especially with the smart-phone access). If you have one or both of the other two, then you already have the Perimeter plus shock sensor.
There is a small gain **** on the side - I had to turn mine all the way up to get the shock sensor to work correctly.

Ok, I'll check this out further. I gave my side glass and windshield a good few thumps with my hand but the alarm didn't go off.
Huge shout out to Bobby at Banner Ford! He represents what it means to provide good customer service!! Check them out for any of your parts needs.
I 1000% agree!
I had an issue installing the same system in the wife's new Edge and Bobby got me all plumbed up! I offered to pay him for his time and he just asked that I think of Banner when I need something...
Good man!

I think the sensor is supposed to zip tie to a harness under where it'll vibrate easy. Installed one on a 2015 and that's what we did
I am looking for the part numbers to enable remote start from my phone, on my 2017 Platinum. I see the two part numbers mentioned are DL3Z-19A390-B, and FT4Z-19A361-A. Do I need both of these with the existing security system on the Platinum? Thanks in advance.

I know when I jump up and down on my tailgate, nothing happens.
It takes impact (ie breaking glass or close to breaking glass) to trigger the shock sensor, not jumping up and down on the tailgate to shake the truck.
The reason is to try and reduce false alarms from high wind that would rock a vehicle or similar.
Modern day shock sensors are a little smarter than 10-20 years ago.
