Yeah, a cut-off wheel will do that. That's why I use a battery powered sawzall. I did set fire to a guy's field out in Youngsville with a cut-off wheel back in the late 80's. I had it stomped out by the time he got there in the tractor with the extinguisher. I was waaaaay out in the tall and very dry grass. I've seen plenty of battery sawzalls at LKQ Raleigh.
ooo i can see some parts on that one i could use on a future project... they got a white one too in a better body condition... were there any differences on the body panels between the 150's, 250's and 350's for that year??

Thanks all, and yup, I have all of the battery powered tools one might hope for to acquire just about anything I might need when exploring the junk yards. I guess tomorrow morning I need to make a few calls to see what the policies are about saws.
Hey Kurt, there is a guy in Willow Springs with about 20 vehicles listed as "parting out" on craigslist, one is a Ford truck within the range you are looking for:

Thanks John,
I spoke w/ him. Initially he was very reluctant to have me turn his somewhat decent bed into a worthless box of metal. He did text me back a few hours later saying he’d let me cut out some sections for $100.
Trying to stay closer to $50.

Sunday I did some work on the pickup and some of it did not go so good
Adjusted the clutch and think that went well but have not taken out out for a drive yet.
Cleaned up around the AC compressor as I think that is were the leak is, it was covered in oil and the dye I could not see where it was coming from.
Then with help from my son changed out the Ebrake cables as they were the wrong ones when I first rebuilt the brake system.
I even bought a 2nd set that looked just like the set on the truck and when checking the numbers are for a van IIRC so this 3rd set is the right ones!
I now have a working parking brake yea me!
Was adjusting the rear drums and had my son press the brake pedal to center the shoes and it went to the floor!
Did the 2 person bleed and was still just as bad, to the floor and would not lock up any of the wheels.
The brake pedal never felt 100% but it would stop and it dose not now?
The booster & master are 2+ years old as I installed them the day the truck got on the road.
I bought a new master Sunday but did not have time to install it then. Yesterday I was out for a CDL eye test for my waver and could not see most of the day.
Went to work early today so got home early and was able to fix my homemade brake pressure bleeder to hopefully not make a big mess when I remove the cap. Get it all set up and the cap leaks so had to use C clamps and it still dripped.
I got a lot of air out the right rear and a little out the left rear, none out of the front.
I dont know how the air got in unless it was still there when I get the system running as it never was 100%
Other than moving it around the yard from 1 garage to the other the pedal is great.
Being the brakes now work I moved on to the AC. The compressor would kick on / off a sign of low charge.
I put 1 small can of 134a with sealer in but it is still low but now I can check to see just where it is leaking from now that it is clean and I can see where the dye comes out.
Not on the pick up but my 02 Durango, changed out all 24 lug nuts. The factory nut had a SS cover and the dealers impac knocked some off.
The dealer would not pull any of the wheels because of then uts and wanted $300 to replace them with the same thing.
I bought 24 full SS lug nuts and only had issues removing 3 of them. So $55 and some time and I have all good lug nuts on the truck.
And all of it before the storm hit!

Dang wind! For the past 5 weekends there have been windy days, today it is colder too with a frost warning tonight. How am I supposed to get the garden planted? I want to repack the bearings on the camper, that may wait till next weekend.
Guess I will be mowing all day.

I started my garden last week, I got tomatoes, bell peppers, watermelon, pumpkin, cilantro, onions, and basil going. Last year I started too early and my tomato plants were hit by a freeze, so I had to replace them!
Dave I heard of "swollen lug nuts" problem with Fords, maybe that is the Dodge equivalent? I know it was caused by having a stainless cover over the lug nuts in which case the steel underneath could rust causing them to swell just enough that a socket won't fit.
Kurt have you come up with a good option yet for bed floor panels? If he let you take as much as you needed for $100 that is probably a decent deal.

It was pretty cold if you had to hang out outside as John can say as we had a club get together in a parking lot and called it a little early it was so cold.
I then met up with the wife at a pet adaption that was also outside. Not a fun day out side but we got 9 puppies / dogs adopted.
On the lug nuts the dealer uses a impac and it de-forums the outer covers and makes them fall off.
I do know what you are saying on the rust as my son said the same thing but none were rusted.
Some were on so tight when using the impac it de-forumed some of the covers so they had to be pried off.
With the solid nut installed I dont have to worry any more LOL.

I was outside all day Saturday and again all day today, definitely nicer today although still windy. My daughter & her family moving from Clayton to Four Oaks, I made 5 trips in my truck with the trailer. They did not rent a moving truck, and they did not have anybody other than me with a pickup. So a couple of SUV's with the seats laid down for boxes, but anything big had to be moved by me. lol. My poor back and legs and arms, I am wore out. I swear that old truck needed $15 in gas for every trip I made to Clayton and back.
Agree 100% on those lug nuts! Good thing you got a new set, peace of mind. Plus you saved 75% over what they wanted to charge you
