Maybe when it's time to do the hood, you can lay it down for me. That way I don't have too much orange peel!

Since the plasterings still being a pita i decided to attack the ceilings. Bought the paint for the master but cant paint it till the plaster gets done. So painted ceilings instead. Got to use the shaker machine myself instead of someone else doing it hehe.

Started in the bathroom first. Then did the hall and the master and spare bedroom.

Looks better with white paint over the bare tile it was. Actually brightened it up some in there

Same with the hall. The pics after on the first coat there. didnt care to tape off the hall light since its getting replaced by a small ceiling fan i got from my brother... he replaced it with a regular light... he gave it to my parents so i took it for my house to go in the hall... the hall lights going to go into the laundry room but im going to repaint the lights base before i put it there... its base looks like its been painted a few times by paint brush... ill clean it off before i paint it... just dunno what color ill paint it yet...

Masters the same way. Sadly the spare bedroom is painted with 4 different kinds since i was painting with old cans first before i popped the top on the new 5 gal one. Hopefully when i pop that ones top that spare room doesnt fight me with the 4 different types on it. They were all ceiling paints. Just 4 different brands.

Well it looks good I can definitely agree with you about brightening it up! Nothing like rolling paint on a ceiling to give your arms & shoulders a workout.

today was my first day off to play with the truck some... they had me scheduled to work 7 days straight...

first thing to do was to find oil... took me forever to find some... and then it was only in a 5 gal bucket $106 after taxes...

still getting fuel pressure...it was definitely cold this morning... thats the first time ive ever seen the EGT gauges read less than 32* Left bank. Turbo and right bank.. then the transmission temp... it still wouldnt crank even with the new oil in it.. when i peeked at the ipr its pegging at 84% so i know its trying.. and did get the low pressure guage to read so i know its doing its job... unfortunately i had to break out the computer...

only codes i could find in the truck...

cyl #7 is only 1% lower on the cranking test than the others.. so doesnt sound like its a compression issue unless i break out the actual compression tester to verify for sure... by time i found the cranking test the batteries were starting to get weak from all the cranking.. have the charger on it now to bring them back up...

think the low contribution code from 4 is coming from 3... because when i ran the buzz test 3 is not cycling... so looks like i need to replace another injector... had 2 go before when i had the engine apart... and 3 was ticking then.. now its not.. so thats happened recently... when i had to replace the 2 before it was #4 & 8..

I always hear about stitchin (or how ever its spelled) is that what happens with that?? it wont tick when cold?? because when ive had the engine running the pass side never showed any signs of it missing a cylinder on that side...

Maybe it's just me, but it seems diesels are so much more complicated than gasoline motors!

i love mine. I hate when i get a no start problem though. I can never figure out why it wont start. If its running i can figure out why its doing something funny.

ironically im looking to get myself into more trouble by buying another diesel.

We are at Huntington Beach SP this weekend. All of these new diesels are so quiet, not my 6.0, she lets the whole place know that she is up and running.

Over the last few weekends I have swapped the trailer hitch side frame plates side to side so I could fit the factory spare tire back into place.
I also moved it back some so it does not stick up pass the bumper as much.

On one of the cold mornings I took the truck to work and the choke did not want to open all the way, fast idle stayed on and it ran rich.
So I have leaned it out and still testing.

I also have been hearing an exh leak and found the inlet pipe pulling out of the muffler.
Because the EFI Y pipe is 2-1/4" and the rest of the system is 2" I am replacing from Y pipe on back with the 1994 2-1/4" system.

If you need any help when you do the exhaust let me know, I'll come over and lend a hand. As long as it's not below 30 degrees

John, As you found out yesterday I did the exh but thanks for the offer.
I had Friday off for some medical stuff and feeling pretty good I went and did the swap.

The round muffler inlet pipe was pulling out of the body and why I replaced it.
I could have just replace the muffler with same and been done in no time.

I am running EFI manifolds with Y pipe no cat.
The factory pipes are 2" and the Y pipe is 2-1/4" So I went with 94 system as it is 2-1/4" but went with a performance muffler.

I had to make some mods like the hangers on the tail pipe, I cut them off.
At idle I got to say it dose not sound like a six but more like a SB.
Driving it has a deeper sound inside but with the windows down I did not hear the exh. note.
Guess that is good as I sometimes leave for work at 12am to 6am dont want to **** off the wife waking her up LOL

Definitely sounds good with a deeper rumble! I am going to go with a single exhaust the Studebaker, but I haven't really figured out what muffler to use. I was thinking maybe a single glasspack. What did you go with, from the picture it looks like a Flowmaster.
