after rolling around on the ground for a couple hrs my back screams at me for a couple days... so a lift vs pain would be worth it to me...
why not do a pellet stove instead of a wood stove?? or do you have alot of woods to continually harvest from at your house?? heard the pellets last longer than the wood ones...

we have a waste oil heater. It’s awsome and really is efficient. We have an abundance of waste oil since our trucks dump 10 gallons at every oil change. A shortage of oil is an easy fix though, charge your buddies their old oil to use your shop. Waste oil heaters are expensive as heck new but you can find used ones on CL pretty cheap, that’s what we did. Our shop is a 40’x60’ metal building with 20’ ceilings and that one heater will run you out after about 20 minutes. They’re also serving 2 purposes, keeping your **** warm and getting rid of old motor oil.

I keep a stack of firewood for the house, for the fireplace inside. So I already keep fuel around. With a pellet stove, I would have to buy a second type of fuel. Part of the idea, is to keep the overhead of being out in the shop down. Otherwise, between parts, tools and such. It get's pricey.

ahh then a wood stove would be good... didnt know ya had one in the house too...
Made some progress on the truck this weekend despite the cold weather. Heads, headers, valve covers, and intake manifold back on, carb just put the new carb up there for the pic.
In preparation of bringing home a new toy, and not at all because my neck has been bothering me when I turn my head, I decided to do a easy upgrade to the little truck.
Also, since the interior lights being on bothered me, as well as the warning, I decided I wanted to see if the assumption that the left door harness was bad was correct. It was.
It’s the rear door accordion. When it was intermittent, it was my guess. After checking the forum, I was 99% sure. When it got to the point where I couldn’t ever get it to work, I decided to pull it. That was about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Finally got around to doing it tonight. I patched it. Maybe it will hold, maybe it won’t. If not I’ll just order a replacement harness.

I had a similar issue on my f250 in speaker wiring. I ended up running new 14 gauge wire from the kick panel all the way to the speaker. Been good for 7 years now.
pulled the calipers off both front wheels to give them a spin without the pads causing extra noise.. driverside seems fine... but the passenger side one i already suspected as being the problem child (why is it always that side??? well least 90% of the time it has been) i spin that side *thaTHUMPthump... thaTHUMPthump... thaTHUMPthump... *
then when i got it off... i find this...
thats 2 different angles to show how far around it stretched... went to get a new one from Oreilly's.. ended up getting lost for a bit... but eventually found the store... by time i got home it was too late to try and put the new one on...
Test drive wasnt as happy as i was hoping yesterday... truck had no power behind it.... thought i had either a struck turbo or forgot a rag in the intake plumbing..
Didnt find a forgotten rag in the intake piping. But the IDS found this
For those that dont know. This is the vane ossilation test. The bottom line should mirror the top line.
Well I've had a slight and random "pop" in the front end but couldn't ever find anything loose. So Saturday I jacked up the front of my truck and found that it had a little wheel bearing play on the driver side hub. So ran a few earns yesterday and pickup a hub knowing I'd be off work early today. Get home and get it jacked up and notice a good bit of grease in the wheel well that wasn't there Saturday. Get it all apart and find this...
Also find that it only has free play in one direction and if you force it one of the other directions it would pop. So guess that solves my random pop issue...
anyways got her back together with a brand new CV shaft and Wheel bearing.
