Those are neat. I've never seen those before. I think every Ford I've ever owned has had an excessive brake dust problem, especially our 99 F150.
Believe me, the 2003 Cobras have had their share of problems and we've had hell getting Ford in gear to fix them as well. The most notorious problem was a high speed engine stall. Ford just released a new computer program flash to fix it without recalling them. Not very fun heading towards a stop light at 45mph in a new $35K car and realize you don't have any brakes or steering because the engine stalled.
I have put several hundred miles on with the new brake pads the dealer installed under warranty and there is a HUGE reduction in the amount of brake dust. With the old pads, my wheels would have been black. Now they just have a light film of dust. Maybe my dealer was being nice hoping I would not be so pushy on the a/c issue when spring and summer roll around?
hi folks
its been 8 days now with the kleen wheels installed so far no brake dust ---none!!!! wheels have that just cleaned look absolutley no brake dust.
Anyone know if the following description of KleenWheels would be for the '03 FX4 chrome wheels? And will there be heat problems with braking and these KleenWheels?

Ford is NOT "stepping up to the plate" on this and does not intend to. They're having trouble dealing with their books as it is since taking a bath on their explorer/ tire deal and not to mention a huge recall they just had on several models... Replacing pads or keeping clean is the answer. I don't think complaining is going to us any good at this point.
I heard that if your pads wear out before 12000 miles ford will replace under warranty.... I did here this from a dealership service advisor so make friends with your service advisor, buy him or her a bottle wine and have em write it up to make it work for you. Ahhhh ya know, just an idea.
Ford isn't going to fix the problem...not unless you want to fork over some hard-earned cash.
Making friends with your service advisor is all well and good, but not with mine...he tells me right up front that he knows more than God and no matter what I say or prove, I'm still an uneducated consumer. He goes on complete shut-down when I mention this board or blueovelnews.com.
So in all honesty, I'll pay 65 bucks for a set of kleen wheels now, and replace my pads with either Ford or aftermarket, when they need to be repalced. But I'm NOT paying 328 bucks to help Ford recoup the cost or reformulating the pads.
bronco your right on target that is also what i decided too.
i feel that as dirty as the brake pads are they certainly stop the vehicle well and my theory is by changing the pads to whatever brand be it the ford replacement or aftermarket replacement type you may have a vehicle that dosent stop as well and there will still be some residual brake dust no matter what. with the kleen wheels you keep the factory stopping integrety and you gain perfectly clean wheels and i mean wheels that have that just cleaned look. no brake dust----none-----period. its been about 2 weeks since i installed the kleen wheels and there is abosolutly no brake dust-----none. these things are really cool in fact i think i am going to put them on my hotrod as well they really work great. once you try them u will see what i mean.
folks something else i forgot to say and found sort of interesting.
before i ordered the kleen wheels i called them for some info and during the chat with the nice folks at kleen wheels he told me that the expedition has the dirtiest brake dust of any vehicle manufactured.
interesting i think----perhaps the great folks at ford ought to have a chat with them
