I'll bet if you pull your rotors and measure their thickness you will find out that they are worn past the limit.

I'm sure they are. They always are. Every vehicle I've owned post 1990 has had to have new rotors every time I replace the pads. GM Yukon, Ford Explorer, Jeep Cherokee, Olds Bravada. New rotors every pad change. - and none of them had brakes that lasted 69k miles, including lifetime warranties on replacements. I consider new rotors part of the package at that mileage.

Not that I'm a fan of Ford, and I HATE the dust, flat spotted tires every morning until they warm up, and a myriad of other things that have already been posted here - mirrors, front end growl and whine, odometer that quit with 10k miles and had to be replaced, serpentine belt that squeaked like a caged rat off the lot, etc. etc., but I, for one, cannot complain about the wear life on my front pads, rotors, and tires.

it's been just about 1 year with the kleen wheels--- they worked great up till a while ago. the brake dust has finally overwhelmed the kleen wheesl. i called the kleen wheels folks he was unbeleivavle the fact that i was getting brake dust thought it impossible, they offered to replace them which was nice. i pulled a front wheel of and the brake dust was so thick and black everywhere i never saw anything like that before that is why the wheels are getting dirty the brake dust is thick around everything it has no where else to go!!!!! also i am thinking about concerns pertaining to extra wear from the abrashives in the dust. It's really bad. anyone else experiencing this.

Dealer raplaced brakes at 19000 miles on my 03 Navy 2 weeks ago and no brake dust, well not like before. But I'm not happy with my rotors.

With 2 days left before my 12 months was up the dealer replaced my 03 both front and back with the new 04 brakes and turned the rotors as well no charge with just under 20.000k.
Hardly any brake dust now and really no sacrafice in performance.

~~~~~~~~~~It's one of the reasons I wouldn't recommend them-it's so easy just to purchase pads which have little or no dust-like ceramic pads from Raybestos.
The 3/36 warranty does not include brake pads, since they are a wear item.
I said 3 year service not warranty.
Service includes wipers, brakes, oil change, tranny fluid etc.
You mean the Lincoln Commitment. The TSB states that the "Lincoln Commitment covers normal brake wear (but not brake dust) for 3 years/36,000 miles" They won't replace the pads until they wear out.
New brakes have a 14mm thickness mine had 4mm, so I guess it was about time. Btw 04's and up Lincolns only have 1 commitment.
