thanks fire engine mike. do i need a membership! i,m log in there as bernette and go there often to read different treads. i can not see most pictures,i suppose its because i don,t pay a membership.
well i got the odometer gear disassembled, and made 2 attemps at putting it back together. seems like theres some sort of timing, not quit sure how to assemble it. 38 coupe you wouldn,t remember any tips.
I don't remember anything super specific about assembling the odometer. I took pictures as I disassembled them (I don't have the pictures anymore). I do remember I assembled the numbers half a digit height off (the numbers were lined up, but not aligned with the slot in the speedometer face). I got to take the thing apart again and move all the wheels half a digit down. I think I started with the tenths wheel and stacked the other parts on it, then put the whole assembly into the speedometer. I could be wrong, it has been about a decade.
i think i got a lead on my odometer! still sanding away!!! painted some frame and axle springs. hopefully will be priming soon.
just back from a walk remembered last spring snow tread ! were not gonna mow lawn anytime soon.
hopefully the same blue it was! i got the paint made 3 years ago , and open it then to take a peek. i got too recheck this today! i want the inside a grey color,i had painted the inside white during my repairs. i find it lighten up the inside. if everything goes well its going to be painted next weekend. thanks john!
got the cab painted! still need to rebuilt steering box,got the right bushing second time.then install axle backing plate, pack bearings with grease and bring it home. i thought i would have time for windows ,maybe this summer maybe!!! or next winter in worse case. since i got no windows i will store truck in my home garage,my doors only 7 feet probably will have to park it with no front wheels.
Sweeeeet! Truck looks really good and I like that shade of blue. My truck is in my brothers garage and I think his doors are only 7ft tall. Maybe I should check my cab roof.
