bought the truck in septmber. only can work on it in winter. bernette is the owners name my name is brian . start by pulling a few dents, then took the front end apart. put some repair on helper side rocker and cab support, straighten up the helper door a bit.so opens better. drivers door is bang up quit a bit ! owner son who sold it too me said truck had an accident and cab was replaced with a 1947 cab which he has. so i must go and pick it up,when we can go up on his farm. hopeful i can use door parts.

had her for a drive ,around the shop. the roxels in low position its slow, made it too 4 gear. a little touchy too shift!!! transmission leaks will need new seals. now its sitting in my yard. will need parts for next winter. next step will be brakes ! master cyliner is stuck, it has a hydrovac(power brake) dont no what too do, try too keep this system or upgrade? and upgrade too what? would like too have a double master cylinder for safety. gonna take it off (master cylinder) this summer too see its size, don,t want less pressure! how can i test the hydrovac? there is no linkage between roxel arm and rear differential if anybody ,could show a diagram or picture would be nice.

i would like to upgrade too a double master cylinder, for safty. been busy with house chores, you wouldn,t happen too remember the size off the cups in your master cylinder. thats what is slowing down my search for a newer double master cylinder. was wanting to take mine apart too know the size! wouldn,t want something smaller!

Try Joe's Antique Auto for brake parts. I bought the master cylinder for my '40 1 1/2 ton from him. Great guy to deal with. Very knowledgeable and reasonable shipping. Don't know about shipping to Canada but I would think he would.

placed an order today with joe,s antique. seems like a great guy. couldn,t find the master cylinder and booster assembly, that i wanted. i would need a core for a late 60ies ford 1 ton. i will keep an eye out for one. so i order an original one. tired of useing hand brake too stop, and don,t want my new rear cylinders too rust. took the wooden box off last weekend. and order cab corners, rockers ,and floor boards, from joe too. i,m feeling like a kid at christmas!
