I definately get it. My wife and my schedule are similar but she gets home at six and my shop closes at 4:30 so I often work on the truck during that hour and a half. We seldom work in the shop on Saturdays anymore so that's some truck time too.

second problem is my door latch bolt. seems like when i open the door especially from the inside. i pull to far on door handle, which makes the latch bolt go to far inside and stays hook on latch frame. not sure what to do to solve this. when it happens i,ve got to hit on latch bolt downward,so it goes back to its place.

Wow, you had to do some work on those doors and they look good! The mirror should have some sort of brace that utilizes the set screw hole in the hinge to keep it stationary. I don't have any mirrors for my truck yet so can't compare what is missing. I'm away from my truck till next weekend. When I get back I can post some pics of my door latch to see if yours are missing something. The latch should'nt be retracting that far. At least your door alignment looks great!

me and buddy put 5 hrs of quality time on cab seam. truck probably had logs and rocks fall on cab. didn,t really get a before picture! found one in my camera but it looks better than it really was. both corners were badly abused, especially driver side. driver side must of been close to 1inch lower seam line. with a hydrolic jack a alot of massaging we got it back to its place. theres still more finishing to do before paint, but i will see then. i don,t want a show truck! but a work truck, that looks straight.

welded a little piece of iron on latch, should of took a picture. it works great now,i will do the same on helper side next winter. look at miroir seems i can make it work with the bolt hole. its going to be some trimming and welding, maybe next week if time permits .i got primer and paint to spray gas tank and hood left to do.if i can get a helper i will take picture of window and regulator install. truck came with a horn it seams like its not the original one by pictures i see posted. any thoughts on what it came from ,or maybe its the original one. i would like to get it back in shape this summer,as a small project. photo bucket acting up again pictures soon!

That was a lot of work and, as usual, it turned out real nice. Don't think I've ever seen a horn like the one in the above pic.

Me neither... Not a ford horn anyhow. I thinks it's from a nash-bearcat, or a hupmobile. Nice to see your continued progress. You are very steady.

i was sure it was original to the truck! then i notice the horns on some other rides here. it doesn,t work try different voltage . there was some kind of relay on the bracket that held it to the frame. i will be doing some research on it. it seems quit complicated for a horn.

DIG IT!! I've been searching for info just like this.

Here's mine. That's me wondering what the hell I got myself into.

Where did you get your metal to replace the rusted pieces?
