Mechanical pump tanks from previous generations don't really fit the straps or the plastic lock fuel lines, and the plug doesn't work.
(Besides, I replaced these tanks in the past few years, after I did the longblock.)
I don't want to have to hack together something as 'critical' as my gas tank.
If it were just one of those things, I'd probably go for it.
Well I changed the oil in the rear end today, and was very happy with what I had seen. It appears it HAS had a ring and pinion, along with bearings replaced at 200,000 like the guy said. There is no side to side play in the bearings and the gears are NOT worn. Spider gears show light wear from 230,000 miles of use though, but they looked good.
10,000 GVWR, but keep in mind mine is a dually. Biggest difference really is the < 8500 vs. > 8500 GVWR emission classification. Your truck originally came with a catalytic converter, Jim's and mine without. I think the 351 HO was the biggest engine available in the > 8500 trucks, the 460 was only in the > 8500 models.

Yes, it originally did come with TWO converters, but it has zero now. Prius repellent. I was very surprised how clean the insides were, the fluid coming out had a slightly dark tint to it but it was still gold. I also added two rare earth magnets and put them in the little recess in the bottom of the housing.
