But I have a change in plans in my exhaust, today I'm crawling under the truck to see if I'll have clearance issues in one spot. If I don't. I'll be ordering a kit for the truck, it's only 2.25 dual pipes, but should be fine for what I do with the truck, mandrel bent pipes too. I'd save half of my money and be able to get a new windshield installed with the left over saved up money, mine is JUNK.
I haven't seen your windshield yet but I doubt it is as bad as mine. Mine is split down the middle with a few cracks here and there, and a ton of chips everywhere. I need to replace it but I have other priorities on hand. Like getting my rear brakes to work properly
When you get a windshield make sure it shows the VIN plate properly. Apparently the moved the plate later and the windshield shops seem to get the later windshields more cheaply, so push them. Don't let them as you will have problems when you sell the truck.
My windshield is already like that, but I found out those exhaust kits won't work for my application, ugh. I'm getting so disgusted with some stuff on this truck.
So I topped off my tank after driving 18 miles, the first time the pump shut off I only got 1.21 gallons in, then after that I was able to finish getting another gallon in but it kept shutting off a lot and I had to go super slow. That comes out to about 14.8 MPG. For just driving around town and a little freeway.
I know it's best to run the tank empty but I know it's very full when it shuts off the first time and it keeps shutting off over and over, just like it did when I filled it full the first time. I'm pretty happy with the numbers I got. Also the truck has been running like a top since I fine tuned the vacuum advance, it runs way better.
